I'm not actually in Northampton though. If I was, it would be useful today as I need to get a haircut before I nip off to Spain. Might have to cadge a lift off someone as the busses are actually rubbish from here.

Just managed to get to 1000 points on pigsback and realised there are no vouchers that are of much use to me. grrrr. that's annoying - I've been collecting John Lewis vouchers all year for Christmas. I'll double-check...

Oooh, just remembered I'm supposed to be getting a car allowance instead of having a car. 7 Sept I gave it up, so that's 2 months worth owing - excellent.

We've managed to cope as a 'one car family' ok so far (apart from not getting a haircut yesterday!). It feels like one of those TV programmes where you have to give up things to save money (and save the planet? :money: ?).

Unfortunately our neighbours also gave up one of their cars a few weeks before us, so they probably think we're copying them. They are the last people in the world I would want to think that I would copy anything they did. Let's just say they are to the right of the BNP...

Just catching up - gtd, when you get back from Spain (lovely! by the way, have a fantastic time) I should've just finished my accounts - want to learn m.b. together? The money there is not to be ignored...... oh, but I've just seen you've already started. Well, they say the best way to learn is to teach. Want to teach me? And have pania oversee? I can get very cheeky, you know!

Hola GTD! When are you off to spain? I hope you have a fabby time, new hair cut and all!!

We have stalled on our "one car family" decision until I know whether I get this job or not - it is 30 miles away with no public transport nearby so I would be relying more on having a car than I do now. If I don't get the job, then we go back to plan A, but hopefully plan B will come off!

We to are a one car couple right now (grr) it is rther hard to juggle but think OH is finding it good without a car. AMazing how quickly you adapt isn't it.
