Thanks KC - I know a lot of people out there are having a rough time of it at them moment, so I thought I'd inject some positivity for the start of the day.
Hope all's well with you?Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 208 - Proud To Have Dealt With My Debts DEBT FREE DECEMBER 2008!!!0 -
It is, actually - I only had proper work in the evening yesterday, so all during the daytime, I was working well on here - setting up to get a free £75 on tradefair, for instance, all sorts of things. And I had to post out something I sold on Amazon, so by going to a post office a little further away than my local one, I even got a half hour walk in! Felt v virtuous :rotfl: I just wish I was doing it all without the debt hanging over my head
but I'll get there

Ooh, how did you get the free £75 on tradefair?
You will get there by the way!
I've managed to keep up the effort on the £10/day challenge which is 'fun' - well it is money 'in', which is better than money 'out'.
Eek - got to pay deposit for honeymoon next year, but on the plus side I think I may be able to get to DF before January, so fingers crossed there...

Hiya - yes, I've just seen a post of yours on the thread - I like the focus of the £10 a day, cos its monthly its do-able.
The £75 is when you join up and do two trades - NOT on shares - before 15 November. The site is sort of basic compared to cmc, but good enough - and the spread on the ftse is tiny, its only one pip. And, what I think is quite funny, the win/lose goes in 10p increments - i.e. if you make the minimum £1 bet on the ftse, the price moves in 10p increments. Its a very good deal, and it was really quick to set up my favourite chart too.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
KC - I'm not sure how I'd make the most of that £75, especially with the market as it is now. Unless you've got some good tips/strategies?

Noooo, no tips, not in this market, not ever really - did you do the NatWest offer, where you could do the same sort of thing but on shares? People accepted a loss of say £5 a trade - with this sort of money, thats still worth doing, but of course I'm hoping to make a profit.
Hope you're doing okay otherwise.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
- I just meant general tips really, like what's the lowest risk thing to do that can help turn the free money into real money?
I'm good thanks - the good news is, check out the new sig... spot anything unusual?

nope... it's more exciting than that... I found some money I had put aside for matched betting + weight loss money (£10 per lb lost) + work bonus = just enough to clear my credit cards. Yes, I know they were 0% and that I should have earned some interest on that money instead, but I know I would have spent it!!
So, it's just the sofa to go now - 9 instalments of £109. I seem to remember that there was a 'settlement fee' of £25 if the loan's paid off early - my challenge is to avoid that fee. One last push!
And talking of pushing - off to a hospital visit this morning
Have a good day y'all!Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 208 - Proud To Have Dealt With My Debts DEBT FREE DECEMBER 2008!!!0
