Have a good week yourself, and happy amazon-ingSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

Amazon is good - I put all my books and CDs that I'm actively trying to sell on there. Haven't done any other bits, and I'm hearing that ebay's gone off now, so I'll be trying preloved for that, or even the online ads of the local freebie, which are free, apparently, for private individuals. Talking of stuff in the airing cupboard - I found a pair of canvas lace-up boots I wore when I was 15, I thought I was the bees' knees. I'm going to clean them up, try them on, and sell them to an antique clothing store, one of those that deal in 60s stuff.
Sorry to hear about the sofa - not good, you need it fixed especially so the DF can be comfy - and you need your comfort too, of course!
I've had to go really full speed on the home improvements - its all been structural, very boring. Its a bit annoying to spend all this money and have nothing at all nice to point to and say ooh look, isn't that pretty! But if I didn't spend it, you know, the house would sort of fall down eventually!
Hope this doesn't interrupt the work - have a good day.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Are you getting buyers on Amazon? We're just getting ready to whack a load of DVDs and CDs on there. Good luck on selling the old boots KC.
The sofa will be replaced, so it's just a matter of waiting, but you're right, the DF has been uncomfy which is why it has been annoying - and that was the reason we had to get rid of our old sofa. Grrr..
I like those structural things though, makes everything feel solid - it has been scary finding some of the structural 'features' of our house over the years.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 208 - Proud To Have Dealt With My Debts DEBT FREE DECEMBER 2008!!!0 -

I have done, plenty, including an autographed comic that went for £20, and could have gone for a lot more if I'd kept an eye on current prices. Only got 9 pieces of stuff that I've had to relist in the past on there at the mo, so no sales right now, but I'll be relisting soon.Good luck on selling the old boots KC.
Thanks! Not sure if it'll happen, but you never know. The sofa will be replaced, so it's just a matter of waiting, but you're right, the DF has been uncomfy which is why it has been annoying - and that was the reason we had to get rid of our old sofa. Grrr..
What a pain - literally, sorry.I like those structural things though, makes everything feel solid - it has been scary finding some of the structural 'features' of our house over the years.
Now that *is* true - this house feels much less solid than my old one, which had flint and "clunch" walls (ahem, clunch is quarry waste, I believe). I'd be a lot happier if I had the money to rebuild this retaining wall in the front garden thats leaning. Ah well, one step at a time.
And the next step - a cup of tea!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
clunch - I love that word!
I didn't go to circuit training, but I feel like I should get my running kit on - maybe next week? Not sure what's come over me
I did, however, get my £12 cc charges back - phew! Oh, and I managed to get a free £5 after joining a clan on quidco, which I've spent on a DVD (which was rubbish) doh! That will go straight onto Amazon Marketplace.
