    afternoon:)

paid another ten pounds off the overdraft today so its now sub £700 standing at a nice looking 690 quid:T

according to my figures....my overdraft should stand at 500 quid at the end of this month, which will mean some real pushing to acheive my goal of clearing it by the 18th feb.....im a little concerned that i wont reach this and it might be looking more like the end of feb now due to the work i had to pay out for the car:( we shall see...

i will keep updating week by week and let you all know how im doing:D

  • Good luck, hope you do it by the 18th, if you don't the end of feb is only another ten days after that so don't be too hard on yourself!

Good to see your still paying it off. I have got mine down to £530.39 and that is not including any money from this week yet which will hopefully be £55.00.

I have had a bit of news though. I thought that this OD had to be paid back by February but it seems it will only reduce to £500 in September then the rest September next year. As it is 0% I will take it out and put the money in my savings account until September and earn some interest on the banks money instead of the other way round Yeh!
  • I got my overdraft down from £700 to £0 in a few months by quidcoing ( bingo sites and free dvd trials) e baying and swopping my current account to A and L. I used the referrers board, got £50 for myself and £25 off the person who referred me. I also signed up to loads of survey sites and used that money. It may not get rid of your debts so quickly, but it was all ' free' money without having to cut anything else ( The cutting down sorted out the credit cards!:rotfl: )
I can't tell you how good it will feel when it's gone, I went on the Dorothy Perkins website today, the 19th of the month and knew that I had the money in my account to buy 3 tops in the sale! That hasn't happened for years and years.....
    Good luck!

hi guys, still not feeling on top of the world right now, seem to be really struggling with depressive mood:(

i paid another 50 off the overdraft this morning, which im pleased with, i didnt want to pay more, although i could have, just in case something else crops up, i shall wait until 31st and see how account stands before i decided whether to pay more than 150 ive planned to pay off then.

all my spreadsheets and planning seem to be paying off, as i can see a huge difference compared to a year ago....once this overdraft is gone, then i cant really do anymore "paying off" only saving towards the loan, and what will be my biggest acheivement is no more paying interest to banks!!

anyway, slowly trying to lift my mood, as its not like me to feel this low!

  • Morning JD. Sorry that you are feeling low. Boo hiss to the low moods.

I hope you can feel better soon. You could always go & pull funny faces in the mirror.....that'll make you laugh....not that I've ever done that of course, ahem.

Well you know I said I was hoping that I could really reduce my overdraft after January pay day? Erm.......ummmm.....that's not going to happen. Due to me being a complete DOOFUS and forgetting to put my loan repayment on the spreadsheet for after January pay day. The loan repayment is £300.55

So I'm not moving forward this month after all with the OD. Which is a b*gger as I was so looking forward to getting it down (way down) under £1000.

Anyway I shall keep on keeping on.

    We'll get there hon.

Hugs to you and a :coffee:.....give us a grin :D;)
