Just enjoy your holidays, then when you return go and meet with her. This delay in feedback won't affect your future work as you're on Christmas break.
It will though as I can not write my second essay over the hols.:beer:0 -
Why can't you write it?
God you're a dimmer.0 -

It is not an excuse, but I would have liked to have known what she thought about my first one.:beer:0 -

I should maybe just email her and ask her if she can remember my essay (which she might not do as the group was big) and just ask her to write a bit neater on the next one if she can.
If someone asked me to write neater next time when I'd marked a piece of their work I'd knock 20% of their next piece!
I know all essays must be word processed 'so they are legible', but i thought it was moreso so you could put them into the plagiarism finder and find the cheats and chuck them out of uni?
Phil how about you write a couple of essays, trying from two viewpoints. Then when this person gets back from their holidays, you could go and see them, ask for more feedback on your last essay and say you would really appreciate her looking very briefly at your two essays (or at least plans) to see what lines you should be going along.
It is so defeatest to say 'I can't write my next essay cos I can't read a comment'.
Alternatively send them a nice groveling e-mail saying you need further feedback and were a bit confused by some comments and asking for them to let you know when they're back in case you can arrange a time (at their convenience) to go through your work before the next essay is due.0 -
Scan the comments in, and e-mail your tutor asking him to decipher them.
Really, how many comments are on your essay? Are you that intellectually challenged?0 -

It is completely covered in red pen, she has commented on just about every paragraph.
I can see why it took them 6 weeks to mark them if she has gone into that much detail of marking on every essay.:beer:0 -

The plagiarism software they use at my department requires you to have the documents in electronic format, so as most are handed in in printed form then they are not put through plagiarism software.
Sadly they will not read drafts or very detailed plans as they say it is too much help. But she may well read some sort of formative essay on another topic not covered in the course.
:rotfl: I would not say "please write neater" as I know she would go round the bend.
In all fairness though they did once ask me to read my exam script out to them as my writing is rubbish under time pressure, so I am balancing it up by not being able to read their's I suppose:rotfl:
I have emailed asking if she can remember my essay, but I dont know if she will remember it.:beer:0 -
Why should the lecturer learn to write better?
Why shouldnt you just learn to read his writing better?0 -
