Some of the people and being part of a historic place are the two main things I like.
Q if you can not get proper feedback then that is a flaw of the system!:beer:0 -

studentphil wrote:I find this a bit of a irony. It is plastered all over my university's handbooks that they do not accept handwritten work is not accepted as the marker can not read it. But yet it is okay that the marker writes in unreadable writing all over the essays. Okay I got an above average mark on it, but it would be nice if you could read the comments.
I have asked 3 other people to try and read it and they can not really even read it.
It is fine you could ask the marker but they are out of the country, so that really helps.
Double standards are rather annoying.
Afair point, if the markers copy and pasted the comments like nearly all students do when "writing" the essay in the first place there would be no problem. :rolleyes:0 -

I appreciate that, but one marker's bad handwriting is NOT a flaw of the system. It's just something you can ask to have clarified and this marker can then ensure he writes more legibly.
But as I say, a thread had to be started. :whistle:Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -

Many have bad handwriting and that is a problem, so I am going to put forward a suggestion that they all move to electronic marking.:beer:0 -
Phil, do you actually get time to write any essays for university? All your time seems to be spent on here asking pointless questions. I can't see what relevance the markers writing has because you're not going to write another essay on the same subject are you?
You're being pedantic. This country is called Great Britain. It would be called Amazing Britain if it wasn't for people like you pulling the average down0 -
hmm, how does the topic of this thread actually relate to the title? i thought this was gonna be a nice little discussion about glass ceilings and male dominated management.:A I love MSE!!! :A0
