I thought you would have said that...........but i will check to make sure..........even though the "NO WEIGHT LIMIT ON EASYJET FOR HAND LUGGAGE" was mentioned 4 posts before your 7 Kg thought.

What exactly is your point? That I should not have admitted that I thought there was a hand baggage limit or is it that you wish to illustrate that you are simply being childish?

I already explained the meaning of my comment. So not clear about your motive here. Just looks childish to me.

I recently flew with them with hand baggage only(weeks before this post was created) and for some reason had the 7 kgs figure in my head.

So I wrote that I should check it.

So again, what is your point? Are you trying to illustrate how petty you can be?

You recently flew with them but you did not know or remember the very heavily publicised fact as stated on the website and booking conditions that there is NO weight limit (within reason) on hand luggage, but you prefer to publicise your "thoughts" which could lead others to also be miss-informed.
Even when you are informed in a previous post to yours that there is no limit you do not take this onboard but say that you may need to check elsewhere,Why? dont you believe them?.........that's my point.
Check,by all means to proove them wrong if they are wrong...but you could look foolish prooving yourself wrong.
    Political?....I dont do Political....well,not much!

Perhaps take it higher up, that would be my usual course of action. But it's Ryanair, so finding the requisite contact details could be time consuming.

No doubt Bob the saver will consider Ryanair's letter to Vix2000 to be perfectly fair and reasonable. Hey Bob, is it true your surname is O'Leary?

Could you argue that the charge is a 'penalty' (oversized/overweight bag) and therefore is refundable because their T&Cs state:

    10.1 NON-REFUNDABILITY
Except as provided in Articles 4.2, 10.2 and 10.3 of these Terms & Conditions, all monies paid for flights operated by ourselves are non-refundable.

If you paid the €40 by card (unlikely probably so you cant claim off card company) then approach your card company.

As they have to issue a receipt (for excess baggage you have to sign it) then I would write 'paid under duress' on the receipt before signing it as this may give you the option of disputing the charge after the event possibly via the small claims court.
