I can't decide between two curtain choices...

Please can someone recommend where they got their curtain poles from and if they were up to scratch?
As previously mentioned we are looking at chrome/steel/silver effect.
Many thanks.0 -
I have these and they are great. http://www.dunelm-mill.com/shop/aurora-collection-curtain-pole-1435250

Has anyone got either and what are your thoughts. I'd also purchase a couple of cushions for the bed too to match.
I really these curtains but the cushions are ok

But i also like these curtains but prefer the cushions i think

We've just painted the new bedroom magnolia and the carpet will be beige/neutral leading thro to an ensuite in Natural Calico on the walls and chocolate brown tiles. So i reckon either choice would work.
Just thought i also need to sort a blind for the ensuite window too!
The moneysaving aspect is helping me make a choice i'm not going to regret! :rotfl::T
Thanks for your opinion.
I much prefer the first for cushions.
Can I suggest you mix up & over do the cushions, it looks opulant.
As its a bedroom have you thought of matching the curtains to the bedding?0 -
Unfortunatley probably not as the bedding has been bought seperately (two different sets from different places). So i'm trying to tie it all in together in a neutral way.
The M&S bedding needs to stay as its CoolMax feature is really helpful. Havent used the other one since actually.
My concern now is curtain poles, i really need to get these sorted soon, Carpet right have moved the fitting day forward by a day and DH and I really want these in situ before they arrive. 6 days to go.
Haven't clicked on Dunelm Mill yet, as i want to finalise poles. Currently looking at DIY stores ie. homebase, bq, wilko's etc, who else is there?0 -
We have bought curtain poles from Wilkos - as I think that they are very cheap when compared to B&Q / Homebase etc etc0
-
i like wilkos, but what is the quality like in comparison, have you been happy with them or wish you spent a bit more?0
-
i'm assuming these can be used without the curtain rings for eyelet curtains. Quite like them actually.

The curtains have different coloured eyelets and you need to match the eyelets to the pole. Stainless steel pole wouldn't go with bronze eyelets, IMO.
Also, what are your door handles and window catches? Are they coloured? ... chrome, brass, black whatever. Try to tie these in with the eyelets.
Bought my poles from John Lewis, not cheap but good quality.0 -

The only problem with matching the curtains to the bedding, is the duvet cover and pillowcases can fade over time due to washing and I personally think this is a no no.
You cannot go wrong with a white duvet cover and some lovely cushions and a throw at the bottom of the bed.
If I remember a thread correctly from a long time ago MrsE, you had a white duvet cover and blue cushions on your bed, I remember it well, as I thought it looked lovely and crisp and I now have a very similar colour scheme on my bed.0 -
CL i also like those poles and were the ones i wanted to purchase, but they are now out of stock due to their sale. Thanks though.0
