WOW THANKS for that info!
Problem is I have to pick up tix @ Victoria???
Can't get there before Sunday ( travel date ) either to pick them up - Or can I pick them up from East Croydon?
i.e do you know if they have the special ticket machines for pre booked tickets??
I might try giving them a ring also to find out the actual times / platform etc from E Croydon
Just want to share an interesting finding, tickets from South Croydon are cheap rates, if u want to book on other trips. I am kind of a bit worried because on the conditions it states clearly that no breaks are accepted.
Just sharing, sorry if the info is irrelevant
i know it is not linked dirrectly with the topic 0 -

and the website is much better this morninglife is like a loo roll. the nearer the end you get, the faster it goes.0 -
I don't think the website is better - it is worse! Keep getting runtime error now and didn't get that yesterday!0

OOOOO This is what I was HOPING for - Assuming it is just one centralised computer system and as long as you have booking ref and card used then shouldn't make a difference???
( Can pop to Clapham High St or Balham now!!
)
I'm not actually going crazy but was picturing a solution of getting tix from Victoria then my daughter & mates waiting @ ticket barrier on platform @ E.Croydon , me RUNNING out of last carriage with their tix then us all legging it onto the train??? LOL
You can definitely pick them up at any station with a self serve ticket machine, doesn't even have to be a southern station. Also you can sometimes get them from the person in the ticket office. All you have to do is wait 2 hours after you've booked them and you can collect0 -
As East Croydon is on the way, you don't have to go all the way to Victoria.
Your ticket will let you through the barrier at East CroydonWOW THANKS for that info!

Don't do this they can charge you for not completing your full journey that you have booked, these tickets will not be a bargain if you get charged a full rate from Brighton!!0 -
spoken with Southern CS who confirm that the tickets are only valid if you travel to and from the exact locations printed on them, being subject to a penalty fare if I get on or off the train anywhere in between the stations... Ok if you live near the main line terminals ie.
- London to Gatwick Airport (but not on Gatwick Express)
- London to Eastbourne and Hastings
- London to Brighton
- London to Hove, Worthing and Littlehampton
- London to Horsham, Chichester, Portsmouth and Southampton
but poor if you live in between the main stops !...
Poor show Southern as you could spread this deal to your local customers !!!:mad:0 -
I bought tickets for Brighton on Sunday TOD and also ordered some 6 tickets for Eastbourne in June and opted for 1st Class delivery, they just arrived :j:j:j and they sent 7 lots for some reason0

I fully agree! I would love to go to Brighton on this deal (from Portsmouth) but the only way is to go from Portsmouth to London Victoria and then from Victoria to Brighton!! - the day would be over by then!!! - Come on Southern, spread the love a little more!!:beer:Tara the Jack Russell, gone to the bridge 5 February 2014.

I would love to go to Eastbourne but can only find cheap tickets for the return journey - am I missing something or have they just not got any?
Be grateful if anyone has any ideas.0
