After all my efforts I decided to get 2 more tix for Brighton for August for 50p each way...
Nothing ventured and all that and at least it was quiet at this time of the morning and went through a treat!
Fingers crossed for some good August weather now ( loads of tickets / dates available but site may be too slow later on possibly? )0 -

Don't get on/off the train at Eastbourne though because they can and they will charge you for not completing your journey0 -

I have a client meeting in London at the end of June, so have managed to get two singles for £1.35 total. From the point where I managed to get the prices on the screen (lots of 'errors' before that), it's taken 35 mins to go through the whole process.
I use the Southern website all the time (fantastically cheap - got a return to Birmingham for £17 in January), and there is one step too many in the process screens as is it, but this was painful!
KiKi' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".0
