    wee everyone is doing fabulously!

    Well done ebayqueen!! That's super!!

Youngmummy, I was also shocked to hear you're only 18 - you've done amazingly well to be so young and have a strong head on your shoulders :) I would ask for that money back - I'd say something like you're not the only ones struggling - but at least we're doing something about it!

Hope everyone has a lovely day today! xxx

hi hun, yeah my partners dad is good at all that kinda stuff, but quoted be £350 for fencing and a gate. we worked it out that its cheaper to buy from wi*es. might not be as strong but havent really got the money to splurge out £350 just for fencing, we started leveling the garden out nearer the beginning of the the year for our LO as there was holes and bumps everywhere and everytime i went out to get washing in id end up twisting my ankle or hurting my self or falling over, OH has digged it all out now, and we were given slabs for nothing (bargian) but i have decided if we;re gonna get a loan to do the fence and gate ect then we might aswell take out the extra money we will need and get it all done, at least LO can play out side properly then and the dog, rather than just use it as a toilet lol, so hoping we will be able to get a loan big enough without feeling like we're skint all the time. OH's parents said they can come over but only once a week to help as they wont be able to afford no more than that. they've been here 4 maybe 5 times since we moved here december 09, we have been going there 2/3 times a weeks, only occationally its been once a week so that LO can see his grandparents, really beening !!!!ing me off the last few months as we've been struggling ourselves, like most people but we have been going the extra mile so LO see's them, we told them we're struggling and thats why the garden hasnt been done as quick as we hoped but they're always worse, i feel like having a right go at them, everytime we go there we get critasised about something, really dont know why i bother they ow me some money i lent them last febuary and havent even paid back 1p. if i hadnt of lent it them it would of covered the garden id have a bit of savings in the bank .... current bank balance 67p and have a lovely xmas or go on a break away for a week.
sorry ive gone off subject AGAIN .... :o:(
well done to everyone btw tryed to quote your posts but it wouldnt let me quote them all .... there's just too many people to say well done too, :T... you really are inspiring me to make some money
    1. so i wont have to take out such a big loan
    2. so i can get the loan paid off quicker when i do take one out
    3. to higher my bank balance :D
we're cutting back as much as possible it comes in one hand and out the other :(
oh well. life must go on, one day ill look back and wonder why i was beating myself up about
take care all. speek soon x

Dont worry about going off everyone needs to let of steam better on here than going shopping ! Thats awful that they owe you money and have the cheek to say they cant come over or that he will charge to do your fence. If I was you I would take couple of weeks of from seeing them and just tell them you did not have the money. Hope you get it sorted soon

Well Done Ebay queen on hitting your target. Think I have upset a few people had loads emailing me about the wardrobes asking what happened to them as they where going to bid, told them I do not count watchers there was no bids so sold them elsewhere why do people leave it to last min to bid at all! I normally bid the min then bid last min at a highier price. No more to add think that is me finished for the month !!!

  • Hi all..I am having a slow month and have been lazy re eb*y and listing...I managed to get a £3 refund from lottery by cancelling my direct debit ticket...(I have paid £10 per month since 2007...and won only a handful of tenners) I figure cash is better in the piggy bank ;)

I also got £3 from a book sold on green met*****is.

So I am up to a big fat £189.13...must get motivated to do some selling in order to reach my target this month :o

Nice to see everyone else doing so very well...Good work lets all be rich :D

  • Thanks for the hints guys. Will hopefully have a working laptop by tonight, have brought it in to my work (luckily I'm in an IT office) for the engineers to look at. They have already found malware on it...

On the plus side, getting it done at work has probably saved me at least £25 instead of going to another company!

Also just signed up to S!n B!ngo - had to deposit £10 to get started but they matched it with another £10 and I also got £10.10 cash back when I signed up - so another profit but wouldn't count it until I get it...

Couldn't make up the target now anyway since we're so far in to the month!

yep me too! I sit everyday and think take 1 photograph, list one thing.... any tips please?

It can be hard to get into a routine with ebaying and can seem overwhelming sometimes, often my good intentions to list stuff pass me by while im "thinking" about doing it !:o lol....

Now i tend to do it in stages,

    1) Sort out about 10 items that im wanting to sell.
    2) Take the photos, and jot down the details ( sizes, measurements ect, i have a note pad just for this purpose.)
    3) Have a cuppa, and quick check up on MSE :rotfl:
    4) upload photos to pc.
    5) Check ebays completed listing for similar items to those im selling. and then normally use the "sell one like this" option to start listing.
    6) (Just started scheduling) With scheduling i now can list items while ive got the house to myself and kids are at school, but start the auctions in the evenings!

I tend to have maybe 20 at the most items on at one time, any more than this and i find the packing & posting becomes rather overwhelming!! and costly at the P.O.

I am a very good thinker, Doer, well not so much!! :rotfl:
Sometimes have to tell myself to just do it. :)

Curses, had a look at the Music Magpie website and they're only taking cd albums . I never bought cd albums as they were so bloomin' expensive. Have a handful of cd singles and loads of music cassettes. Looks like old cassettes are near impossible to sell too. Guess, i'll sit on them for the time being...
