Hello Aesop and all.
Youngmummy, time to put your foot down ..... they are not old people. Put your family first and do what you can to help after that. Some people do not learn to take responsibility until others stop doing it for them. They have to help themselves. Are they suffering from depression, maybe that explains the spending. Hope I sound helpful rather than judgemental.

hi hun, yeah i do suffer with depression, but dont have a problem with money generally, i pay my bills, do a food shop buy anythink my LO needs and occassionally if hes been good he will get a cheap toy (hes only 2 so doesnt understand how much things are) but loves them just the same, normally its something from the £1 shop, we just have a low income atm untill OH has finished his training to be an officer in the police force and thats if thier recruiting. and im starting a metal health course, i want to also study social work and hopefully eventually get a phsycology degree, even if i am only able to work till im 30 or 40, (i was born with cerebal palsey) but it hasnt stopped me yet, any how thats enough about me, how is everyone doing, i have done all my photos ready for ebay, take care all, xx hugs for those that need them xx(#80 save 12k in 2015) aim £10,000make £10 a day in 2015 £261/£4000emergency fund aim £100/£1000£1 a day for xmas 2015 £0/£365NSD feb 0/16feb GC £0/£1200 -

I didn't start the original thread, it was Batgirl and PurpleRoses and JesaRose and others kept it going. But PurpleRoses said she is a bit too busy at the moment to keep running the thread, so I offered.
The stars are for posting. When you hit 50 posts ( I think it has been a while) you get a star, then when you hit 200 posts, you get another star, they all have different names for them. Then to get more and more stars, the criteria gets harder and it is supposed to be a closely guarded secret...lol
I will get my 5th star when I hit 10,000 posts....0 -

Phew. Finally managed to get a book sold that has been sitting for ages on Amazon marketplace. I am well off target so will have to list loads on ebay tomorrow. Does anybody know the best way to get rid of a wedding ring? Should I send it to Hatton Garden metals or do you think it would actually sell on ebay?July £10 a day Challenge= £0 / £3100

do you have to pay costs for ebay before you sell stuff or once it is sold ??? you can tell im new to ebay cant you... but i gotta start somewhere not doing very well with gu*mtree of loc*l pa*per xx
froglet if it was me can you get a quote off hatton garden metals ? also see how much something similar is going for on ebay and compare ,, sory if this doesnt really help , im learning as i go along, its all new to me(#80 save 12k in 2015) aim £10,000make £10 a day in 2015 £261/£4000emergency fund aim £100/£1000£1 a day for xmas 2015 £0/£365NSD feb 0/16feb GC £0/£1200 -
you get billed by Ebay once a month, for costs accrued for sales and listings.
So you don't pay upfront for listing things, but ebay will tell you how much they are going to bill you for listing your items, unless you do it on free listings day.
They then take a percentage of your sales money after a successful sale.
But again this is billed once a month.
froglet, it maybe a good idea to get an idea of the price of the weight of the gold in your ring from a few companies. Although Hatton gold has the best rep for being honest, fast, etc.
then depending how much they quote you , think about selling somewhere like ebay.0 -
