I love stations too. Great place to people watch too. I was at St Pancreas/Kings Cross twice last week, gorgeous place. Mr C takes the eurostar from there every year for his ski trip and KC shhhhh ......... he treats himself to a glass in the champagne bar!!! Me? I did Pret a Manger
Did you get to the gym today then? Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -

Morning! I like York station, I like stations in general, actually. When Kings Cross was fully renovated, I had a glorious time walking around staring at the Victorian ceiling
and envying the people sitting in the champagne bar at the same level as the trains
lots of fun to be had at Kings Cross, its got acres of open space and then a rabbit warren of all sorts of things, very cheery indeed.
Don't quite know *why* I'm rabbiting on about Kings Cross, sorry - hope you're going to have a lovely day
Having a lovely day, thank you.
I think you mean St Pancras?
John Betjeman!
'Come friendly bombs and fall on Slough!
It isn't fit for humans now,
There isn't grass to graze a cow.
Swarm over, Death!
Come, bombs and blow to smithereens
Those air -conditioned, bright canteens,
Tinned fruit, tinned meat, tinned milk, tinned beans,
Tinned minds, tinned breath.'
York makes me remember "Stop that train!" The Dresser, 1983!But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?0 -

Morning.. stations are great
Well mostly, I'm not too fond of Stockport (has it's own climate, mostly cold and windy), Preston (nightmare to negotiate when running for a connection), and I have terrible memories of waiting at Darlington at about 9pm on a cold January evening with the flu (that's not really Darlington's fault though :rotfl:).. anyway, what am I rambling on about, looking forward to going to St Pancras next week, and seeing the French Metro stations
ANYWAY.. hope you have a really good day today Cheery - flute lesson tonight? I hope you've been practising your 't's and 'd'sDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Wondered why you were getting all poetic there Tricia! :rotfl: :rotfl:
What am I doing today??
Starting work late (oh dear!)
Working at home
Quick tidy up
Flute lesson at 6.30 :j (might squeeze a quck toot into the day)
And then Mr Daffs has got band members coming round for a social/band meeting evening, so I'm to be out of the way apparently :rotfl: May well shuffle off to someone else's house, but at the minute I'm fancying an evening in the attic sewing and sorting out photos and sneaking off for a very early night
(although we'll see because I'm going to be spending all day in the attic working and I might be sick of it by then! :rotfl: :rotfl:) Might sneak off for a quick cuppa with a friend this afternoon to get me out)
What you up to?0 -
I've been trying with the whole t and d thing Squizz :rotfl: :rotfl: I'm starting to blame my inadequacy on my flute0

Hehe - I've been trying that one since my teacher told me my flute needed a service (servicing person is in hospital at the mo apparently so I have to wait a bit)
Mind you... Grade 7/8 ish is quite a good time for an upgrade (bad Squizz, don't go round encouraging people to spend lots of money on flutes :rotfl:)Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
