    I am actually, thanks :)

Decided I would do 2x 45 minute sessions at work, with a 15 minute break in between, and then stop, however far I'd got, rather than trying to battle on. Did one of them - and because I could see the end, I concentrated and got lots done :T :T :T Then had 15 minute break, and cut up an old towel and sewed another 5 face cloths (seems to be the project of the day :rotfl: thrifty, reducing waste, and easy to achieve :T :T my kind of project! :rotfl: :rotfl:)

(and it might sound like I'm going to have a hundred face cloths, but actually I only only own one proper one, and generally make do with a corner of a towel, which is then soggy :rotfl: :rotfl: Now I've got another 7 :T :T Might dye them red - have got some red dye and could do with doing a couple of pillow cases too :T :T)

Right, back on with my last 45 minutes of the day, then I'm stopping (and might make some more flannels :rotfl: :rotfl:) Feel a mild sense of achievement now, which is always good! :T :T)
  • Hugs lady - thank you so much for the cheery parcel

I hope you're feeling better today - love the flannels - we use them instead of hand towels (to save on the washing and to make us feel like giants) :)

I used my soap today you made really, well your soap - with the gorgeous petals - its lovely - thank you so much for showing us :)

Not sure if I'm supposed to use it yet..............?

    Have a great day.

No YOU made it mrs! As for using it yet, you're meant to wait about 6-8 weeks I think? And it's probably been about 5, so I reckon you're alright :D I think it just dissolves quicker the earlier you use it, but by the time this one is done all the rest will have had a few extra weeks anyway. How lovely with the petals in! :T :T Must make some more myself :T :T

Glad you like cheery parcel :D

Hoping for a less grumpy day myself too.... :rotfl:
  • That sounds like a pretty productive day on the flannel front :D Hope today is indeed less grumpy.

    Hi Cheery!

I've been missing for a while from here, read a few diaries over the Summer but not many and somehow managed not to subscribe when you started this one.

Anyway spent the past week or so catching up on your Summer and all sounds great.

Here are some thoughts which may or may not be relevant considering they relate to stuff you wrote ages ago:

    1) Thyroid, my friend had her thyroid removed (very scarily had cancer but apparently one of the best to get - if you're going to get it - as it is easy to deal with) She is taking those tablets and has a very full life, she has three children (2 since the op) and does a lot of running and outdoorsy stuff and she is a nutritionist too. So don't worry about it holding you back!

    2) Patchwork life - I have bought some papercuts from this guy who is also an archaeologist here is a link to his blog and the last post on there is a bit of discussion about how he is going to fit both things into his life and make it workable! I think it is a fab idea, and I'll be interested to see how you get on!

    3) Spending money on frivolous bits - you really don't need to worry about this, if you saw what I spend on frivolous stuff you would realise (or have a heart attack!) I went to a really fancy cake shop this week and it was £6 for coffee and cake (very yummy though!) I think you need to have a balance between living life and enjoying yourself and not spending all your money in a way that you regret afterwards. I know I'm totally in awe of your ways of going out and spending £2.50! I doubt I'd ever manage it!

    4) That getting stuff done thing sounds amazing. I'm going to see if my library has the book!

Anyway, I'm delighted to be back up to date with your diary!

I'm now a student!!! I've managed to persuade work to pay for my Masters so I'm a part time student and full time worker....not sure how will fit it all in!

And I've finished my first ever knitting project (well big project, I've knitted small things before) managed a whole baby blanket for my friend who just had her second baby. Sadly I've got a horrible cough so I can't go and see her this weekend after all!
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

Hi Makeup! Lovely to see you! Can't believe you spent the last week reading my diary though   :rotfl: :rotfl: Look at all those things you just reminded me of that I'd forgotten al about! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Congratulations on the masters, and well done on the knitting! :T:T

Off for the weekend tomorrow to visit a lovely friend and her new baby, so a weekend of tea and cake I reckon :D :j :j :j Have a good one the rest of you!

    Yay for cheerful soap! :T :T :T :T

I'm up and raring to go. Busy practicing the art of Not Being Late at the minute - so currently convincing myself I do NOT need to sew myself a new bag to take away for the weekend when I only half 30 minutes left before I need to leave :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Also managed to stop myself driving to B&Q on the other side of town at 6.45 last night when I only had 45 minutes to do the entire trip and it would only have worked if there'd been NO traffic and NO red traffic lights and NOBODY in the queue :rotfl: :rotfl:

    See, I'm learning ;):D

Have a good one all xx
  • Morning, got up had a walk up the track and now snuck back to bed as Mr F enroute to ferry - which I can see from the window!

Hope you have fun, well done you on the learning stuff :)

The soap is very cheerful, so much so infact I think a bar of it is heading to France in a parcel.

    xxx

    When you off?
