  • Moggins (((((hugs))))) I'm so sorry that you don't seem to be appreciated for the amazing, courageous woman that you are. I didn't know your personal history so reading your post came as a shock to me. I'm horrified that your husband could be so insensitive. Men seem to develop a different personality when they are with workmates and the like. They become different people and can say and do things that they wouldn't otherwise do. Perhaps he was embarrassed at the girl mentioning her cleavage??

As I said, I don't know your personal history so please forgive me if I have spoken out of turn. Nothing I have said was intended to cause any hurt. Please remember that your children love you, you are a valued contributor (and friend) to many on this site and you deserve to be treated with dignity and respect.

I hope you and your OH are able to talk this through and you get the apology you deserve.

Well, I worked all morning on a survey and came home at about 1:30 pm. Did sa few chores and now I'm chilling out. Not in the mood for going out, so I'm saving money...:)

I have all ready for tomorrow big clear-out: black bags, boxes, the lot.

Oh, and will wrap my last Xmas presents - I've bought all of them already so I won't have to brave the last minute crowds  I'm proud of how organised I can be! :p

Hope you all have a pleasant evening!

Moggins that was outrageous. How could he?

Late today as have been having lazy day . . . .

Got up late around 10:30 then after the usual toast-make for breakfast got down to the three jobs I'd been putting off all week . . . cleaning bathroom, shower room and kitchen floor. But all done by 12:00

Then a laze around discussing some teaching-related topic with penninewoman. Can't remember what it was now.

Usually have to get to butcher's before 12 but as I went yesterday we could take our time with the rest of the shopping. So around 1p.m. went down town and collected vege off the market and a few (NOT) items from the Co-op.

Next home, quick lunch (bought cheese and onion pies) and then down to my mum's where she told us all about a fabulous Labrador she had in the late 1940s early 1950s. I remember him very vaguely but he died before I was four.

Stayed until 5:30 then back here and kebabs for tea are just being started. Penninewoman's doing this tea.

Errmm - we call it tea but it's the evening meal which I guess many of you will call dinner? :)

Here's the butcher's. I just knew you want to see them. :)

    Huge Hugs Moggins.

A friend of mine was diagnosed with a very aggressive form (category 3) of breast cancer on 29th December 2003 at the age of 35, and spent 2004 having a mastectomy, chemo and then later radiotherapy. In 2005 she had her reconstruction surgery, which was done using her shoulder muscle. Absolutely amazing what they can do surgery wise. It has given her a new lease of life, and so much confidence back again. She even got to pick out a prosthetic n!pple from a catalogue, which was hand made and painted to match the other. Each one lasts 4 months. During the Op, she also had her remaining boob lifted to match the new one. Last summer was a huge boost for her, as she was able to wear v-neck tops, strappy vests and a bikini.

I hope that everyone on here has helped cheer you up, and that Mr Moggins is incredibly ashamed of himself.

    Take care

Evening All - Hope we are well

Firstly, (((((((hugs))))))) to Moggins - Im shocked by that comment, and shocked that he wants you to go for re-construction.
Dont be bullied into anything - if you dont want it doing - then dont! You are your own person at the end of the day, and you do things for yourself.
Keep your chin up babes, and dont let him drag you down.

I woke at 5.30am, tossed n turned and finally got up at 7.30, came down to use pc, and OH was asleep on the floor. Did not dare disturb him after big row night before. No matter how much I was tempted to switch pc on. :rotfl:

Could not believe FRIDAY night and I was in bed for 9.30pm. I never go to bed at that time during the week. Not bad considering we was suppose to have been goin out! URGH - think I will change the subject now.

Went to collect a parcel this morning from the sorting office. Recorded Delivery. Spent 20 mins in the que, to to be told, my parcel is being held at another branch! WHAT! what a load of bulls**t. He told me to come back monday. I rang my ex and explained what had happened (he's a postie) and could he trace it for me! half hour later, he rang and said he's got my parcel. Anyway, cut a long story short, the person I dealt with before spent ages looking for it. Apparently he knocked it off the shelf, and it was hiding. Hence why telling me it was at another branch to pull him out the sh*t for loosing it. I laughed, as mis-takes like this does happen, but furious for him lying, and I cant report him, as it means dropping my ex in it (as much as I would love to) its great to rely on him for things like these.

Spent nearly 3hrs in town, picked up a book I ordered for my DD. needed some toiletries, so made the most of the 3 for 2 offers and tripple points in Boots. Yet another trip to Primark.

Then, spent about 3 hours wrapping kids xmas presents. Thats all done now.

After our half attempt of going to Ikea last week (neva made it as OH car broke down) I said lets go and get his unit, we can go in my car!. (sweetner to break the ice between us), I checked on their web site, they had plenty in stock. Took nearly 50mins to get there, traffic little heavy on the M1. Gets to Ikea, SHELF EMPTY! OH enquired is there anymore, they said yes - plenty in stock, but cant get out of the stock room until the store closes at 10pm. This was 7pm. They expected us to wait for 3hrs just for a ruddy unit. I was fuming. He was non too happy either, great - what I thought would a nice treat and ice-breaker - just got worse.

Came home had a chinese, as I wasn't cooking the impossible for the un-grateful. I will have a bath shortly and erm - bed!

So thats me summed up for the day.
Not happy, fed up, cold n p*ssed off
Dont let my downer spoil it for others.
Take care everyone, love as usual

    Well this is later. :D

I got busy with more organising our trip. Have booked 6 nights in London when we arrive. We're staying over near the Victoria Coach Station. Booked the train trip from London to Edinburgh. DH loves train travel. Takes ages to surf cos I do it the MSE way. I'm pretty happy with the prices I've got so far.
It still is painful and shocking when you see the prices though. I have a glass of vino next to me to dull the pain somewhat. :D

Pennineman Butcher shop's must look the same everywhere. Do the butcher's tell bad jokes over there as well?

Gee I wish I had xmas presents to wrap. I suppose one has to buy them first. :p I'm doing it next Saturday. Well off to have a bit of a surf, then do some cooking & shopping, material lists for tomorrow. Sleep well. Byeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

I agree! The butcher's shop in the village where DH and I lived until last year looked EXACTLY like that one. However, it was on the other side of the country to yours, Pennineman.......... and definitely no where near any hills as it was in the Fens.
