Good morning everyone,
Bit quiet here this morning!!!!
Well, my mum is visiting for the day today, so just waiting for her to arrive. She told me that she would bring some milk, and DS used up all we had this morning, so ive not had my normal morning cuppa yet.
Not sure what we will be doing, as DSs football match has been called off due to a waterlogged pitch, although its blue sky outside at the moment!!!! Mum normally likes to have a wonder around the charity shops, so i guess thats what we will be doing!!!
Good friend who came around last night for a natter, might come back down tonight, they have just moved and dont have a decent tv picture, so she wants to join us for x factor!!!!!
Ohhhh, just had the post and my thrifty ways book has arrived!!!!! YEAH, so thats me for the day!!!! DD also received her cutting from Ribena, we sent off for it months ago, and had all but forgotton about it, so will be planting it later.
Right, need to get dressed and do something!!!!
Hope everyone has a lovely day
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Morning all
Well, the riddle of the missing xmas tree has been solved. Apparently you CAN hide a 6ft tree in an attic :rotfl: (What's worse, is it was ME who moved the tree to where I found it - but it was covered in so many other boxes AND it was in a green box and I was looking for an orange boxs)
Anyway, put the BIG tree up last night, with just the lights and the star on. Boys have spent an hour this morning putting baubles on it. I expect I shall have to do some re-arranging later on
Today I need to go into town. I have dvd's to take back to the library and a cheque to go into the bank. Need to go to the market for fresh fruit and veg as we are nearly out. Have the usual cleaing jobs to do and want to get our bed changed too. I'll see if I can get Mr TM to retrieve all the patio furniture from assorted hedges in the garden and put them away for the winterOther than that, nowt much.
Tonight I shall mainly be watching Strictly Come Dancing and erm.... well, I dunno
Have a good day one and all and (((hugs))) all round

'Morning everyone :hello:
Don't get much chance to pop in very often now a days, but we are having a bit of a chill out day - been up since 6 o'clock though pottering on the computer. OH has been installing the Quark software that Martin recommended.
We were given some duck breasts this week, so I need to potter through the recipe threads to see how to cook them. Never cooked duck before
I'll be doing a bit of baking later on as well.
Have a lovely OS day everyone :wave:Enjoying an MSE OS life0 -
DD(17) has to go to Lancaster university today so DH drove her to York Station for 8.30 ish.
Managed to get two bacon butties down her before she left, gave her money for lunch etc, her seats are booked on the train etc.
Parting words to her were to phone us if there were any problems and we could always do something to help.
She wanted to go on her own as she is meeting a friend who already studies there.
Thrifty ways arrived and have dipped into it - looks really good!
A few weeks ago I tried a freebie perfume sample site - first for me then for DD - small parcel arrived for DD yesterday - two sample perfumes - nothing for me! Really disappointed as i wanted stocking filller stuff.
May do some knitting on third fluffy scarf later and start on Christmas card writing.
Still have home made soup from yesterday so that will do for lunch or teatime.
Hugs to all."This site is addictive!"

Yesterday I was very naughty - Jones the Bootmaker had a sale on at CWharf, I went in to get just one pair of shoes and came out with three:eek: how extravagant eh! I hate shoe shopping so when i find some that fit i just buy them and it saves me going for another year or so! they were soo comfortable though - its very unusual for me to do girlie things - Its doing me no good working up there with all those girlies, Im getting sucked in!! handbags, shoes etc:rotfl:
Its quite contageous isnt it??:rotfl: must stop watching trinny & suzanna and wanting to buy clothes and jewellery!:rotfl:
Yesterday I bought tickets to see Colin Fry at Brentwood next year, so will take mum. Southend cliffs pavilion was already sold out!
