Hi I have a Packard Bell easy note on Vista. I clicked to install Windows updates and my system will not restart. I'm currently running Startup repair which said it may take several minutes. As it has now been doing this foe 1 hour does anyone have any suggestions please?
I also got a brand new laptop on Wimdows 7 yesterday and it is wanting me to install them also but I am too scared to do this until I find out why the other one has gone wrong.
Any help will be most appreciated.

create a windows disc for the brand new laptop, and read up on how to do a factory restore, then if it goes wrong in future, you'll have the tools available to rescue it.
old machine, try all F8 options!!

Vista System Restore
If you can't get to that point, you will need to enter System Restore from the Vista Windows Recovery Environment. You 'll need a disc in that instance.
Follow these instructions in order to create one:Download and save this Vista Recovery Disc Image to a working computer.
Next, download and install ImgBurn(No need to install the Google Toolbar. Remove the relevant tick). Burn the Image to Disc. Use this guide(skip step 2b)
Follow the instructions exactly and you won't go wrong.0 -
Thanks . Just tried to switch on to see what happened after leaving it overnight. It allowed me to start in safe mode but stock on the first page of drivers. I will go and try Stilltheones method.Self Employed, Running my Dream Jobs0

Okay just down loaded the Vista recovery disk. It does not give an option to save to the computer -only to disc. Have I done something wrong?Self Employed, Running my Dream Jobs0

Sorry to bump this but I tried running again and it has been in start up repair for nearly 3 hours. I have downloaded both software advised but there is no option to save the Vista recovery onto the computer running windows 7. It has just let me save to a cd.Self Employed, Running my Dream Jobs0

Click the link and select SAVE
Save to wherever you like
Download IMGBurn
Open IMGBurn and add the Vista ISO, burn to disc and follow the instructions
You'll have to do this on a working PCIf Adam and Eve were created first
.Does that mean we are all inbred0
