£10 Tesco Meal deal for £4.07

Oh my, I think I need a lie down.
Decided to pop to Tesco's, still had an £11.86 voucher. I decided to go to the troutyish looking SA on the logic that appearances could be deceptive, plus she had the shortest queue.
Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong!
She studied the voucher for what seemed like an age. Then asked for receipt (not a usual request in my store) and stared & stared again. Light goes on, She says nothing & we wait.
Not to mention of course, youngest son is sat on next but one till & eldest is round the corner on the CS desk. Oooops!:o
It's my lucky day..I win not the Team Leader but the Manager of the section. My heart sinks.:(
First comment...this receipt & voucher doesn't tally.
Manager...Oh, no, that's alright, it's the time. The first is the transaction time & the second is the time the lady put the details into her computer.
But says the SA, the amount is wrong, it is far too much for what was originally bought....look.
Manager looks. No she says that's okay, the lady bought a meal deal & it's the wine.
Then Manager turns to me & said, it used to be double didn't it, but it's not any more. I've had a few good deals from that myself.
:rotfl:
Then I said, I know, I feel a bit like a criminal really..she said, no, if they offer it, you go for it.
Phew!
Oh, & if you're out there reading this, thank you so much. There was me thinking I was going to be marched to CS like a naughty child.
Edit. Forgot to say, SA who had just put through another meal deal for me said now I suppose you are going to do it all again aren't you? Yes, I said, I am.:D
To be fair to her, she did apologise to me at the end though. Only doing her job I suppose & didn't want to be held accountable for accepting fake vouchers.0 -

I've just been to Fleetsbridge Tesco Extra in Poole, and the signs had been taken down for the £10 meal deal... BUT I went for it anyway, and it worked.
I got the lasagna, cheese selection, tart au citron and the Chardonnay
Sounds like

I only had one voucher do this in DTD days never could get it in firefox only IE.
If you want to pm me the details i'll gladly try on mine if you can't get at another one I can print it as a pdf then send it to you
Never had a problem with DTD days, have tried in chrome and IE, resubmitted using 12 hour clock and still says processing.Real men never follow instructions; after all they are just the manufacturer's opinion on how to put something together.0 -
Oh, another quick tip.
If you've got an £11.86 voucher & are using to buy only 1 meal deal, top up with 3 Muller corners & something you use for a few pence & priced the same or n/a in Asda, tin of peas, bag of value noodles etc etc. That should bring your new voucher up to £7.01 instead of the £5.93 just for the meal deal for less than 10p if you play your cards right.:D
Every little helps.0 -
Slightly off topic,, but this is for those of us worrying about putting on weight with all this fine food, I am losing weight with Sl!mm!ng W0rld and decided, after having the meatballs, roast pots and, dare I say it, cheesecake AND choc sponge pud well, it was our 30th wedding anniversary AND I had already been weighed in for the week 2 hours earlier AND had lost 2 1/2 lbs

I think I'll take the risk with all the fat in these 3Dogs, especially if there's the chance of a big discount!
Any news on this deal being sussed out yet?0
