No sign or mention of turners road in meal deal section but plenty in wine isle.
Got 3 x chardonay
1 meatballs
1 chicken and ham pies
1 chicken with asparagus
1 mash (only 1 left)
2 rosemary pots
3 cheesecakes
Had the meatballs with mash tonight, will get them again but serve with pasta in future.
Running out of places 2 put the wine, got a very small kitchen and house and already quite well stocked with wine as I got 4 bottles from DTD and 24 mini bottles from the tesco glitch and I don't even drink wine - only use it in cooking! Plus it seems pointless to cook with it at the moment while this meal deal offer is on!
If you stir in a bit of sweet chilli sauce plus some soy sauce, they go well with rice. (The meatballs, I mean)ELITE 5:2

Here is my meatballs recipe.
Take 2 semi cooked meatballs per person.
Chop a banana in half and arrange it so that we get meatball-banana-meatball.
Dribble (lol) a bit of honey over it all, then put in oven 250C for 10 mins.
Should come out smokin' & delishy!0 -
Ok, under the FAQ section..
- Does this apply to products that are on promotion in Asda?
Yes - all Multisaver (e.g. Buy one get one free, 3 for the price of 2 offers) and Price Cut promotions (e.g. was £1.00, now £0.90) published on Asda's Grocery website are included. We do not include Linksaver deals (e.g. Meal Deals) or deals across whole Categories (e.g buy 6 wines, get 5% off) for either Tesco or Asda.

This all seems a bit of a lottery - some people get the deal, others don't. Tesco appears to be gambling that you won't argue the toss at the checkout.
The SA I saw today said that the offer was anything in the special cabinet or in the range. I didn't want choc sponge in the cabinet, so cruised about until I found Tesco Finest Millionaire Shortbread and Key Lime Pies.
The 'deals' didn't check out properly but the friendly lady at CS said she was fed up with 'Meal Deals' as no-one understood them and she was going to put mine through anyway. I felt I was in the right and so wasn't overly grateful but after looking at the info here, i think I got two desserts which weren't in the weeks offer (but were Tesco Finest and so allowable per the SA in the aisles).
Waiting now to see if I get a voucher vis email for my TR Chardonnays.
Don't waste your time asking the staff in store - most of them don't know their a*** from their elbow so far as deals and prices are concerned! You need to look at the Tesco website for the Finest meal deals and then only buy the items that have the yellow icon stating the item is on special offer. Some stores seem to have stuff in the Deals chiller that shouldn't be there - either becasue the staff have re-stocked with the wrong items or because customers have dumped stuff back in the wrong place.
Don't take any nonsense from them if they say you can't buy Turners wine with the Meal Deal food items either ! They can't dictate what you put in your basket and, if you want to buy Turners then thats your choice! If it goes through as part of the Deal, thats great - if it doesn't then tell the staff to void the whole lot (its therr fault if its wrong, not yours). Turners Chardonay is clearly listed as included in the deal so it SHOULD go through (I've never found the red wine on the list though so haven't chanced that).ELITE 5:2

I didn't think that was a new condition ? I thought it meant it wouldn't compare a whole deal ie wouldn't compare a Tesco £10 Meal Deal with say a £7 Asda Meal Deal. But it does compare individual items such as the wine (and its in our best interests if all the other items come up as N/A).ELITE 5:2
