I've got 10 because I have been buying 2 desserts instead of the side orders so that I have enough.I think I'll risk freezing them.
I'm hoping to get the cous cous and bean salad nearer the time with a longer date on and guess what we will be drinking!
we ate ours the day after the date on them and they were totally fine...:p0 -

Ref freezing the cheesecakes - tbh I have frozen most foods in the past, the cheesecakes will be fine - don't think the base will go soggy - after all you can buy ready frozen cheesecakes with biscuit base. Sometimes adding something fresh to the ready made food makes it nicer - you could puree some fresh raspberries with a bit of icing sugar to make a fresh raspberry sauce for the cheesecake. Ref the dates on the food - as czerniacha says, its usually fine for a while after the best before or even the use by. After all, years ago you just looked at the food and smelt it, and if it seemed ok it probably was ok! I often eat yoghurts that are over a week 'out of date' and they are fine!0 -

There's now no point in buying items double the price of Asda UNLESS you haven't got an Asda close by. You stand the risk of the item coming back N/A
Surely it's wiser to buy things the SAME price in both or if you do want to top up primarily buy things that there is a difference but you can negate that with a money off voucher - just in case it doesn't come back as found?
You "hit the nail on the head" in your first sentence.
We have a Tesco nearby but the Asda is 12 miles away. Posting "Top-Up" prices allows Asda cheap deals at your local Tesco. You're correct that there is no other advantage.Keep SmilingSite member number 24

I used to wonder the same thing...until i had a voucehr for 11.86 to spend and got a meal deal and two other items. My rtd shoudl have been 5.93 but the other two items were cheaper in asda so made my difference back only 2.xx.
Hence why the need to 'top up' with an item that is more expensive in tesco than adsa or same price (or one that is know to come back as N/a) so the RTD isnt affected.
HTH
p.s im talking about top up items....sorry just realised topping up a voucher is different thing completely but guess that is just if there is no asda nearby.0 -

I had a voucher for 11.xx so i needed a few top up items....
I noticed online there were cadbury mousse 4x55g 1.19 for four....but it is BOGOF.
Instore this was not advertsied but instead had two for £2 on SEL however went thro at BOGOF. YAY.
In asda these are 50p for a four pack so i got this to bulk up my voucher total.....and hopefully some small rtd too.
Will report tomorrow if it works.
Just to report that this works!! Came back tesco 2 for 1.19 and asda 2 for 1.00. Loose onions were also cheaper by 2p lol
I had another receipt for a shop which came back as 1p cheaper!! lol maybe useful for any 1p finds but dont think im gonna cash it in somehow.0 -
