I got a few shops today...one for dishwasher tabs (the 25p ones) separately from my meal deal shop.
I had a voucher for 11.xx so i needed a few top up items....
I noticed online there were cadbury mousse 4x55g 1.19 for four....but it is BOGOF.
Instore this was not advertsied but instead had two for £2 on SEL however went thro at BOGOF. YAY.
In asda these are 50p for a four pack so i got this to bulk up my voucher total.....and hopefully some small rtd too.
Will report tomorrow if it works.0 -
I hadn't planned getting the meal deal but when I saw the chicken & asparagus I thought I'd give it a try. It took me ages to find the wine as it wasn't signposted (iykwim) in the booze section. I just kept scanning the shelves for the merlot and even when I found it, there was no indication it was included. I have to admit I was hoping it wouldn't come off the meal deal so I'd get DTD but alas it did work. Fingers crossed for the voucher tomorrow now :j
A voucher for £5.93 should arrive tomorrow if you didn't buy any other shopping on that receipt which could affect the comparisons.
1 meal deal = £5.93 back
2 meal deals = 11.86 back
3 meal deals = 17.79 back
Don't buy more than 3 or you'll go over the £20 maximum refund.
The wine at Asda is £4.06 so that makes all the food 1p.Keep SmilingSite member number 24

Someone had frozen their cheesecakes, someone else said theirs said don't freeze, first person said I'll defrost one and try it. Can anyone remember if it was ok.
I need mine for 4th June and although they have got that date on them wouldn't want to risk it.
Freezing will be okay but may alter their consistency. The biscuit base would probably be softer and not as crunchy. Some have reported that they are fine. If in doubt get some more with a later date best before date tomorrow and then eat the ones you have! You'll then have another bottle of wine for your "do" on the 4th and some more stuff to eat during this week!

Or I could be expecting a lot more with the booze I bought. I'm not a big wine drinker especially after being dry for 9 months so I'm starting off easy on the aul alcopops.0 -

I've got 10 because I have been buying 2 desserts instead of the side orders so that I have enough.I think I'll risk freezing them.
I'm hoping to get the cous cous and bean salad nearer the time with a longer date on and guess what we will be drinking!:laugh:0 -
Just a guess :beer::D:rotfl::D:beer:0 -
WHY would anyone want to TOP UP a voucher UNLESS they don't have an Asda nearby? We ALL know from DTD that what compares one day comes back N/A for reasons known only to Tescos.
There's now no point in buying items double the price of Asda UNLESS you haven't got an Asda close by. You stand the risk of the item coming back N/A
Surely it's wiser to buy things the SAME price in both or if you do want to top up primarily buy things that there is a difference but you can negate that with a money off voucher - just in case it doesn't come back as found?0 -

The one thing other than the meal deal I have been buying is branston beans as they are only a pound in asda but 1.50 in tesco.
I'm now thinking if I bought 4 lots it would cost me £6,use a £5.93 RTD voucher pay the 7p difference and this would also generate another £2 voucher.
Another way I'm thinking of spending one is buying
2xLenor 2 for £5
2xbold gel £7
1xfairy £1.40
I've got 5x£1 vouchers from supersavvyme
they would then cost me £8.40-£5.93 RTD=£2.47
have I worked that out right?0
