    Here's another "Top Up" item:

Yep. Found these earlier & bought a couple although I haven't had them confirmed yet.

It was before my time too so I didn't get anything either, but before the instore dtd policy, the policy was , if you were overcharged, you were refunded in full and then also allowed to keep the product you bought free.
Don't know the actual prices, but say for example, the price of an x box (which was one of the products concerned) was marked on the shelf for £199.50. It was really supposed to be £199.99 & this was what you were charged at the till. So..under their policy, they would refund you the £199.99 you paid & you would also get to keep the xbox.
Something along those lines anyway....Oh I so wish I had known.:(

p.s: can you use vouchers on clothes and toiletries like shampoo... mouthwash and eye drops?

    Yes. :)

Sparky1664 is correct. If Tesco overcharged you, even by 1p, they would refund your money and also give you the item. We shop in Lidl as well as Tesco and have never had an overpriced item in Lidl. We continue to have overcharges by Tesco and have posted two this week. I suggest everyone check their receipts.

The value cheddar cheese (which was actually very good) once had a SEL (Shelf Edge Label) of £3.98/kg. The packs stated £3.99/kg and were of various sizes and weights. I picked up a couple of blocks over 1kg and had great fun pointing out that I'd been overcharged. The Xbox360 were wrong week after week. They would have posters with an offer on that didn't match the offer on the store systems. It would say something like "Buy an Xbox360 and get the game of the week for £9.99". It didn't work because the GOTW didn't match the poster so they overcharged. The store would argue they had only overcharged on the game but they knew they were in the wrong when it was pointed out that the overcharge was on the complete deal! Result: Free Xbox360 and game.
Any "Point of Sale" material be it a SEL, Poster, Price printed on the box, banner or Video unit displaying prices would supply the ammunition. More importantly they probably still do but it's not worth it as much as it was! We would get free beer by pointing out the banner in the car park, mobile phones because of the secondary cardboard mobile phone stands in the store that they'd left old prices on, and posters. I got a load of free Mars bars once and when the CS lady said that the SEL was correct I pointed at a huge poster 10ft above her head with the offer on. That was funny because she couldn't take it down!

My favourite was the free PC. An alert went out of a misprice on a Saturday afternoon. I was going out that evening so couldn't go to have a look until Sunday morning. We generally all agreed on the forums to leave it until Monday to go and inform them of the error. This was a good rare one because individuals didn't have to rely on the SEL as the price was printed on the box. Took mine back the next day but not before I had checked for further errors in the store. They had corrected the one we all had but I spotted a dearer model incorrectly priced too low at the same price as the one we all had. After I got my refund I asked if I could upgrade it if I paid the extra. They traded in the one I was returning and scanned the better one. Girl said ooh it's the same price and after checking the SEL let me take it away! That gave everyone on the forums a good laugh and if my memory serves me correctly was the 3rd most expensive individual item obtained free on the R & R policy. Beaten by others with two Sony TV's!
Good fun but still keep a look out for those misprices because they still exist!

I think it was Constantine who got overcharged on Holiday insurance and ended up getting it free for a holiday to Oz that she bought with Clubcard points! Mainly obtained from the notorious "Beef slices in gravy"!

I think its great that so many people are getting a bargain meal here, but a word of warning, this food is VERY unhealthy for you.

Take for example the Finest Mash. One look at the front of this and you will see that by eating just hHALF of this alone gives you approximately a whole days worth or 20G of saturated fat. That is the recommended maximum DAILY amount of saturated fat for an adult. And thats just the mash!.

Now look at the strawberry dessert for example. Again, another 15G of saturated fat in just one of those.

Dont believe me?. Just check the front of the packaging on all of these, it's all there.

Dont get me wrong, I dont want to be kill joy here, and I love this food too. Once in a while is fine, but its when people talk of loading up there freezers or living off the stuff for days on end.

It won't last for long though. Meanwhile it is making ny Weightwatchers subscription a waste of money !
  • I bought my 6th Meal Deal yesterday. Have I read somewhere on this thread that you have to use a different email address after submitting 5 receipts?

I shopped in Bidston Moss yesterday and there were no sides and no puds in the Meal Deal fridge!

Thankfully I had printed out the list of what's included from Tesco's website and I located the creamed spicnach with marscapone in the Finest fridge and bought two of those and it went through a treat :j
Hopeless by name, hopeless by nature.

Panic not !!!:D Both Merlot and Chardonay are still listed at £4.06 when I search the Asda site (not logged in though). If you are logged in , your local store may be out of stock - doesn't matter for our Deals.
