I have just phoned cs up she told me it will take up to 2 weeks i said it does not say that on website them she turned very cocky on me so i said my mum as got hers back monday and we put them into gether i was asked to do a survey after the phone call so i told them what i thought
Well I must admit this company is really starting to irritate me now - even more than before. It says 36 hours on the site. As websites are now monitored by ASA (Advertising Standards Authority) Tesco's wording must be accurate.
It says
14) Why does it take up to 36 hours to get my results back?
In most cases, your results should come through much sooner than this. Our new price check website has to find your receipt details from the millions of transactions that have occurred in the last 28 days in a Tesco store or online at Tesco.com. We then match all of your products against the ASDA products and prices on that day, and send you an email with the result. This can take a bit of time for our systems to process this information.
So stop playing with us Tesco. We know you are reading this. Either spit out the vouchers or expect a mail this afternoon on here, along with the complaints email address for ASA. 100 compaints to ASA should keep you busy!!Ask me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies0 -

yes think this is the way to go0 -
Beenie, I read this as: You went through the till, the price came up as £33, you complained and SA called a team leader, who took you to CS desk where the CS lady managed to get the deals put through for you and you then paid the correct amount - am I right, because if so, DTD would not be given
You have to actually PAID the wrong amount and then take your receipt to CS to sort out and you are then given DTD - i.e. it is due to wrong price PAID not what came up on the till that you queried and did NOT PAY
You are quite right 3dogs. I am not a usual Tesco shopper (I schizophrenically alternate between Lidl, Sainsbury and M&S) so don't know the rules of the game.
I came on this thread to find out about the £4 deal because, despite what some posters have implied, we do not ALL know the exact details of a supermarket refund policy, nor do we carry laptops/long lists to check the competitor prices.
You have given a clear and well-mannered reply, which I think is in the spirit of this board and I thank you for. :T0 -
The ASA is the way to go. These big companies that think they are above the trade and advertising regulations annoy me.0

Is the Turner Rd Merlot still in the offer, on the web I can only see the Chardonnay nowmcallister1 wrote: »I don't think it ever appeared on the offer on the web, but just worked?
Both the Merlot & the Chardonay are still showing on the website for me & sitting in my basket. Just checked as I write this.:)
If it doesn't show for you it's just a Regional stock issue from your delivery depot, but it's a National offer so will still work if you buy it in store.0 -
just tried to phone customer services and just placed on a automated queing system thing 5 minutes later still no answer

Just so you know Mr T. ASA allow complaints online. Shouldn't take too long to get your phone ringing.
Just so you know, that we aren't playing your game.
More to follow PM.

Just beat me. I'll give them until dinner time. By that time the vouchers have usually arrived, and it gives 'the spy' chance to feedback to Tesco HQ.;)Ask me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies0 -
