1. Wedding date? 12th November 2011

2. Wedding theme or colour scheme? Winter - blue, silver and white

3. Thing you have splashed out most on? The venue and food (thanks Dad!)

4. Best bargain? My full outfit cost £250 and my bouquets cost £26 for 5 bridesmaids plus me (blue wooden roses)

5. Stupidest thing you decided that you had to have (before getting engaged) and now dont care about? I had lots of ideas for entertainment like a psychic, fire breathers etc... none of that has happened now though!

6. Venue? A haunted underground vault lit with candles and coloured wall lights

7. Engagement ring? White gold with a diamond

8. Describe your partner in 5 words - funny, caring, understanding, sexy, fun

9.First Dance song? It will probably be Goo Goo Dolls - Iris (or Dashboard Confessional - Stolen)

10. Biggest panic moment so far? My outfit, always having wobbles about it because it's not a traditional £1k wedding dress

11.Biggest Bride/Groomzilla moment? I think we may not be able to have the song by Tenacious D called Beelzeboss. I really wanted it but now think it's too much for some of the guests because of the lyrics... not really a big bridezilla moment but all I could think of! Well the other thing is all the problem marriages/relationships I see around me and that can get me down at times.

12. Worst fear about the wedding day - that I trip up/end up feeling sick after too much champers/get way too wasted and don't remember my wedding!!

13. Number of guests? 60 day and 110 total in the evening

14. The one person who has helped you more than anyone during the planning - the groom and my mum are always there to listen to me talk about the wedding!

15. Flavour of cake - 55 individual caramel cheesecakes + 55 individual mixed berry cheesecakes + a sponge cake for the top decorated with snow flakes.

17. How long will you have been together on your wedding day? 4 and a quarter years

18. Favourite TV or Movie wedding? The wedding at the start of Love Actually, and the Royal Wedding

19. Piece of advice you would give anyone who is planning their wedding - don't get your outfit TOO far in advance because you will start to doubt it when you see others that you like!

I love this thread and spent my lunch break reading it... so here are mine:

2. Wedding theme or colour scheme? Silver, white and Midnight blue and a snowflake/ natural winter theme
3. Thing you have splashed out most on? Dress, BM dresses, Suits, church ceremony

4. Best bargain? home made invites, cake (my freind), traditional bently wedding car (FIL has a company and is doing us a massvie reduced rate) and magician (free jsut starting out using my photos from the wedding for his website as I get copyright and he is a friend)
5. Stupidest thing you decided that you had to have (before getting engaged) and now dont care about? Having a massive wedding of 300 now I really do want only my closest friends and family there
6. Venue? Church then Wedding venue
7. Engagement ring? 3 diamond and platium band,
8. Describe your partner in 5 words funny, carring, supportive, gorgeous loving
9.First Dance song? Songbird by fleetwood mac
10. Biggest panic moment so far? that the table centres I spent ages making wouldnt fit in vases!
11.Biggest Bride/Groomzilla moment? Without doubt when my mum decided that black font wasnt right for my invites and changed it to silver wihtout telling me and we had a BIG row
12. Worst fear about the wedding day not fitting into my dress, falling over walking up the aisle, it being too snowy for any guest to come

16. Rate your own :money: MSEness out of 10 4 some parts I have been really good and others I had splashed out, it is to me about getting the balance right

18. Favourite TV or Movie wedding? SO many, all make my cry but definately, the royal wedding I actually woke up at 6.00am with nervous energy thinking it was my wedding day Lol

Piece of advice you would give anyone who is planning their wedding Try and think about your guests and what they would appreciate, for me I wanted to invite guests and make sure they had a good time which is why we have thought a lot about entertainment. and Negotiate on prices and use people you know for all things wedding and dont forget to roll up your sleeves and have a go yourself.

String Quartet to play at the reception. I'm not remotely musical!

My parents farm and local village church where I was baptised and confirmed.

White gold with 2 diamonds and a sapphire in the middle.

Take That, Rule the World. I'm a fan. My fellow TT friend fans at the wedding will expect nothing less.

My dress won't arrive. I had the phone call this morning.

Great Uncle Albert. Don't ask.

12. Worst fear about the wedding day?
My Dad saying in the speech - well, doesn't x look good today - better than when she was fat anwyay!

Don't give up smoking till after its planned. Most stressful 7 months of my life!

Dress wouldn't fit as was 17 wks preg when i ordered it - but it fits now

arguing with my mum about centre piece height - she says tall I say low - showed her my idea and she loved it

everyone has been great but OH mostly for calming me down

ask for a discount whenever u can, keep a spreadsheet/folder of ideas, websites, to do list etc

I've had a few bargains - best discovery is a flower wholesalers round the corner from my house where i have managed to get artificial flowers cheap as chips and evening decorations

5. Stupidest thing you decided that you had to have (before getting engaged) and now dont care about?
Nothing really

6. Venue?
Quayside Exchange Sunderland whole building, using F1 for ceremony and breakfast, B for drinks and G for evening

7. Engagement ring?
Picked by OH and love it - 9c gold with diamonds in a flower shape

8. Describe your partner in 5 words
Amazing, kind, funny, The one!

9.First Dance song?
We are thinking of I'm yours but secretly we would both like the shrek karaoke dance party but not brave enough.

10. Biggest panic moment so far?
Court costs mixed with wedding funds = very panicked B2B...

11.Biggest Bride/Groomzilla moment?
Telling OH that his ushers must contribute towards the cost of suits!

12. Worst fear about the wedding day
OH ex turning up to ruin the ceremony... I'm sure my family would step in before i even knew what was going on tho...
And OH kids not being able to come due to psycho ex...

Apart from one 'frustrating!' am I the only one who's got negative kind of things to describe their OH??? I feel kinda bad now but he IS bloody annoying and stubborn at times, and he does have traits that I love him despite of not because of. But to me that's what it's all about - the better and the worse, the fact that they're not perfect. Or maybe at my age and with one failed marriage I'm just more cynical - I love him to bits (well I wouldn't marry him if I didn't) but I don't believe in Mr Perfect, just Mr Perfect-enough for me

Absolutely know what you mean. I used the word 'determined' as one of my five - while I believe it's a good quality to have it doesn't stop it getting on my nerves sometimes! Everyone has bad traits but when you're in love with someone you wouldn't necessarily change them.

It's like the concept of 'soulmates' - to me that implies something that's just 'meant to be' and will continue to work out no matter what. I think relationships can be bloody hard work sometimes! But it's the falling in love part which makes you want to keep at it.
