I know Clairehas, I have reported it to the real tiffany, the police, trading standards etc. But it is still out there ripping people off.

I realise some people will say "dur it obviously isn't real" but my husband who got tricked isn't conversant with the internet, and as it was a surprise gift, he couldn't check with me first. He was really proud to have got me something so exclusive.:o

Pity sites like this are allowed to carry on defrauding the innocents!

Quick update.

This site seems to be shut down. However i'm sure they will just open another fake one soon. Also, when i googled and yahooed tiffany this time, only the real sites came up.

But still, BUYER BEWARE.

Furthermore, not sure whether my bank will refund the money, as they want proof that we have tried to contact the merchant. AS there is no address/email/telephone number and the only point of contact was the website, it is proving difficult!

All these sites sell the "replica" or "tiffany inspired" jewellery and obviously NOT REAL Tiffanys!

Read line one of FAQ at http://www.tiffany-jewellery.co.uk/

What kind of jewelry do you sell?
Tiffany's Shop is a discount online jeweler offering the finest and best AAAA quality of designer inspired jewelry.

I can't see "100% Genuine" or "Authentic" etc. ANYWHERE on this website so don't expect to see it dissapear too soon. I think this is a case of not reading the website properly.

As a rule I personally would NEVER use a website that ends .co.uk yet sells in $ and clearly redirects to a non .co.uk site!

Just wanted to let people know that this site is still up and running.

I almost fell foul of them because they were advertising a particular piece I've been trying to find for years and years... it's simply not available anywhere at all.

I almost went through with the purchase because they were up front about not being the genuine Tiffany (anyone could spot that a mile off) but gut instinct stopped me completing the transaction before I gave them any personal details.

Times are hard, pennies are being pinched and I didn't want anyone else to fall for the scam.
Things I wouldn't say to your face

Not my real name

Looks like you did the right thing. Some of the other lines in the FAQ on that site are entertaining - e.g.:

1.Are these Tiffany & Co jewelries 100% sterling silver? What's the define of sterling silver? Yes, all our Tiffany & Co jewelries are genuine Italian 925 sterling silver items, sometimes Partly genuine 18K gold or plated.

Yep - genuine 100% sterling silver, except when it's not...
