Sorry the dog didnt work out for you but it was very brave to take him back to the breeder to be properly rehomedIf you can keep your head when all around you are losing theirs, its just possible you haven't grasped the situation0

Whilst you might feel sad, Icey, and like you weren't good enough, in letting him go whilst he was still and attractive adoption prospect you have shown that in all of this you only ever had his best interest at heart. That is the nicest thing you could have done for him. Take a look on preloved and see what too many people do with dogs they get and cannot manage. There are so many on there that are clearly just passed the cute puppy stage when it gets even harder to look beyond the 'naughty' behaviour!
You tried to make it work and in the end you did the very best thing for him, well done for being able to face that difficult decision and do the right thing.

Icey - I am so sorry that things didn't work but hopefully the breeder will be able to find a home that can direct his energies better!
I just wondered if this is your boy?

Well done for being adult enough to do the right thing by your puppy; being a good owner is a lot more than love and food, it's having to take tough decision such as rehoming and PTS. Maybe if you get a dog in the future you might adopt a sedate adult who has been in a foster home for some months? That way their personality will be known and the right dog can be matched to your needs. Best of luck with TTC.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0
