I don't believe a word of it! I propose a one week ban for everyone in that thread with a greater than 1:1 posts to thanks ratio!
(Tongue is firmly in cheek ladies)
Good lord, can you imagine it? A 1 week ban. When we all got back online again, we'd crash the internet posting our UU, Ins, Outs, WIBA's etc.
That thread is like therapy for some of us
I was going to leave this and not bother posting but I would like to thank OP for starting this thread.
Why? Because it shows the differences between people. "If you see someone walking down the road without a smile, give them yours". Someone on here has this as their signature and I think it's lovely. It doesn't cost you anything and it doesn't harm anyone so really why do you have a problem?
I use the thanks on this thread as a marker of how far I've got too but if there was a separate marker button, I would still thank people.
This is the only thread I go on which I thank every post but that's because it moves the fastest.Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -

I think you'd have to chop my hands off. I suppose that would be helpful re: handcream usage!
tongue in my cheek too :rotfl:Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Throughout most of the site I only log on because of the Thanks button. I don't always have a lot to say, but I read posts I want to thank all the time.0

The very highest thanks counts such as Lakshmi7's are not trivial - they are given in the competitions board where some users post lots of valuable competitions after spending time and effort looking for them etc. (no, I'm not one of them).weight loss target 23lbs/49lb0
