Tesco has confirmed its 'double the difference' price guarantee is dead despite an advert it placed in The Sun newspaper yesterday stating it is still alive.

where has it confirmed, i dont see any quotes?

    edit:

    just seen this:

A Tesco spokesman says: "We apologise for any confusion. The wrong advert was printed due to a third party error.
"Tesco will not be reintroducing double the difference but we are still committed to bringing our customers the best prices possible."

Well they confirmed it would be honoured on twitter?
TESCO EVERY LITTLE change to the t&cs HELPS
  • Not partaking in this latest DTD - they dont seem to have any idea what they are doing and just a thought if they do accept they messed up and send you another voucher to make it up to DTD that means you have to print one off from the price check and then print out the other that they have emailed you. You will have two vouchers for the same receipt - the trouts are going to eat you alive !!!!!!!!!!!. They didnt know what they were doing before and this is going to be a nightmare so good luck to all you brave souls. I just daren't :-)
