Also you don't need to use a valid email when submitting just enter any email address then follow step one above the next day.

Good summary.

None of which explains why half-rsed Tesco screw up so often on the emails.

I submitted (say :rotfl::D) 50 receipts.

I got back about 8 emails.

The other 84% of the time I had to use the old tricks above to get my legitimate voucher.

Mostly back button etc works 2nd time.

But WHY did Tesco not put a proper working system in place?

Surely it wasn't so that many punters gave up at the first hurdle?

Surely it wasn't deliberate?

I think you have got me wrong...

I sent the receipt with my letter to Tesco regarding claiming the DTD, I had already done it online and used the voucher...

This is what they sent me via email...

Dear Customer,

Thank you for your letter and for sending in your receipt details.

Unfortunately, I cannot find a record of the email address you have provided submitting a Price Check comparison.

A valid email address is required when submitting a price check comparison, this is needed to inform you of the results and so we can check your claim as advised.

I dont remember what email address I used as I just made it up! So I sent mine in without the email address but they have sent me a later saying I have to send in my email address! So I have had to send them 2 possible ones it could be and hope for the best!

Ok - so from the Sun DTD day I posted off 2x receipts for the daihwasher tablets that were 12.99 in Texco and £3 in Asda and had got me RTD vouchers of 9.99 x 2.

Guess how much Tesco sent me on a gift card ('which includes the cost of a second class stamp')?












That's right - £14.38?!

Go figure.
