Try using a different browser? Or add the sender to your 'safe' life. Sometimes hotmail/yahoo etc block links for your safety.

I went to tescos today and bought 2 items which were reduced to 50p from 99p, I noticed afterwards on my receipt that I had been charged 99p for both items so went to customer service and they only gave me a 98p refund, I questioned their DTD policy and they said it doesn't apply as it was a staff/human error (as the cashier scanned the original barcode and not the yellow reduction label) ...and not a system error, I stated that its not my fault/problem that they scanned the wrong barcode and I was overcharged, but they wouldn't give me the DTD.

Is what they say correct? otherwise I will make a complaint.

No, that is incorrect, you should have got dtd, you were overcharged. If i remember rightly the sign says,' in the unlikely event that you are overcharged, we will refund double the difference'.

When they did the same thing to me I was told that dtd doesn't apply to reduced items scanned incorrectly. Should have stood my ground as it was a few £s difference

I was overcharged this week on the 4 for £5 wine offer on mini bottles, bought 8 bottles and was charged for 10. Didnt realise till I got home, so went back to Ts straight away and complained. I was only given the difference of the 2 overcharged bottles and when I said about dtd she said couldnt have double due to cashier error.

Told her it wasnt my fault that I was charged for 2 bottles I hadnt bought, and I was out of pocket with petrol money and my time having to go home and all the way back to sort it out. Asked for duty manager and was given a £10 giftcard for the inconvenience on top of the £4.58 I was overcharged in the first place, so stand your ground and ask for manager if you dont get dtd.

The guy at the CS desk called over who I believe was the manager/supervisor and they said the same thing, ...they were also previously called over at the till I was at as the cashier didn't know what to do with the price check voucher also.
Would of argued more but didn't have time (school run), will just have to wait and see what they say in response to my email.

    I agree with this.

I bought 12 bottles earlier this week, (amongst other things) but was a bit puzzled with the bill. At first I thought I'd made a mistake but when I got to the car I checked the receipt I realised 13 had been scanned. I went back to CS who I must say were excellent, once they had checked my receipt they immediately gave me back DTD. (£4.58)

I had used a £20 DTD voucher, so paid very little anyway. The girl was very good with the vouchers & I must admit it was a bit of a pain for her to remove the 12 security tags. She did scan one twice & realised, & immediately put another through to compensate. She obviously made the same error again without realising.

The thing is, I wish I had just left it now. It seems the normal practice is the checkout operator's name will go into 'the book' & it will be reported to the duty manager. They were on the phone to him as I was leaving.

    I feel really awful. :(
