I'm afraid all statistic based 'enjoyment' must be backed up by a survey of no less than 100 people

plus some news reports evaluating the survey repsonses but producing at least 4 different conclusions ranging from 'no enjoyment' to 'best thread ever'

if houses prices come down, but interest rates go up.... then you pay more for borrowing less. which theoretically, could work out at meaning that there is no overall saving....

This may be in some senses true, but you must remember that many on the market are only able to move as a result of big profits they made on previous housing. Those not on the ladder have trouble because they dont have that profit. If Prices were to drop and IR's go way up, they playing field would be levelled to a degree and we could return to something sensible where if you earn a decent salary, you can afford a decent house!
    2 + 2 = 4
except for the general public when it can mean whatever they want it to.

 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

So close but in reality people on a decent wage can afford a run time dump of a house.
  • nurses dont earn a decent wage then cos we cant afford to buy a house. combined nursing income 40k - available mortgage 120,000 - and what is the average house price in the uk at the moment again... oh yes... significantly more!

for 120,000 yeh i can get a 3 bed house where i live.... but its an ex council house !!!!!! and the area they are in is a bit like the lebanon....

Bring on the housing crash! Lets ave it.
