is he coming up to you then ?

what about a romantic meal and a nice walk round a local scenery and a chilled bottle of wine in a hotel room :D , or a red letter day :)

What is a red letter day?:o
He wont be coming to mine as i have to travel to london to drop mum and spud at my sisters so they can babysit!
I have now got my heart set on going to madchester as i know he would love to go, the only thing is my budget seems to only stretch to train tickets! (£120!)
I'm sure he wouldnt mind paying for the hotel but do you think it would be rude to suggest?:o
I want to do something diferent than going for a romantic meal as we do that most times i go up there.

type red letter day into google and they have special days, racing car days, up in a hot air balloon, pampering sessions, all the stuff that you would like to have a day out doing but only ever do them once as they are special red letter days!!
They have a huge amount to choose from and it comes in a red envelope as a gift card to give to him so it really is special and great, get choosing!! xx

This is prolly way over budget but this is what i did for my oh this year as it was his first back in uk with me............booked couple nights in hotel in an area we used to socialise in first time round 20 odd years ago, booked london eye tickets, bought clothes and pjs, and toiletries as well as pressies, arranged to meet old freinds and family at hotel and go for a meal and arranged trip on river and to tate modern as he had wanted to visit it...............Gave him a timetable for his bd with lots of cryptic clues ............he had not got a clue and as I had bought clothes and toiletries hidden in boot of car to throw him off the scent of stopping in a hotel ............................even managed to throw in a clue connected to beatles song yellow sub then played it in the car as we set off......................only prob is how to top that next year....................!!!! it was brilliant and his face was a total picture when we pulled up at hotel and I gave him the wrapped up tooth brush and pjs...............

I believe manchester has a big wheel attraction so you could book tickets on that - look online as a lot cheaper that way.

A standard non-flexible fare by Eurostar to Paris on that day is £59 - for two people! Go to Paris for lunch!

The non-flexible fare means that if you cancel, you don't get a refund :( but that would be OK if you could be sure you were going.

The remainder would get you a lovely lunch in Paris :)

Edit: Sorry ..... £59 for 2 people each way, so £118 in total :(

Still do-able on your budget, though

Maybe its just me. No, actually, its not. Men like sex. Something along those lines, involving a surprise, you taking the initiative and probably 80% of the cliched things that men are supposed to like, eg, suspenders, if i may be so open, blow jobs, etc, added to Manchester and away you go.
And if, you know, your history...
