This is not an 02 deal, but I have been looking for this phone over the last few days and the best deal that i have seen is from Phones 4 u and Dialaphone.

    T Mobile 24mth contract
    Phone cost £29.99
    600 mins
    500 txts
data bundle included as flexible booster
    £25.53 per month

    Vodafone 24mth contract
    free phone
    300 mins
    3000 txts
    500mb internet
    £30 per month

Those are the best/cheapest deals on this phone.

Word of warning with the T-Mobile deal

Check with their coverage check that you can get good services. In East Yorkshire we are listed as no 3G service and poor standard services.

I am going for the vodafone deal though I think.

They're making profit on the contract, but look at it from the Pay as You Go side then.

£177 worth of top ups is ~£1.70 a week. Surely you will top up a hell of a lot more than this, so they aren't really making any more of a profit with the contract.

Point taken, although I would say that garenteed income over 24 months is better than adhoc top ups :D

Oh I agree, but don't fall into the trap of looking at the handset cost only. Cos you still have to stick credit on there whichever way you do it lol!

Total cost and what you get in return ..

    My choice £399 PAYG O2 + £10 top up .
    Less £210 for SGS1 via Ebay .

Calls Texts Internet via Wifi and Giffgaff aprox monthly cost £1.

For me it makes no sense to go contract .

That's a cack handed way of doing it all though isn't it.
For starters, the S2 is locked to O2 when you buy it PAYG for 90 days apparantly.

I am too in the same boat,

Long contracts are too risky as 6 months later offers improve and new customers get better deals.

I will sell my iphone 4 probs in July/August and get the Galaxy S 2 or see if a new iPhone is out in Sept. will probs have to put £100 more from my iphone 4 sale price to get the newer one but thats ok don't want to be tied to 18/24 months.

Then go on a giff gaff 10 pound goodybag.

Also guys its reported that Samsung have recieved 3 million pre-orders worldwide from carriers for the Galaxy S2 after being announced about 3 weeks ago.

Therefore I can't see mobile operators being too generous with retention deals and bargains etc. Look at the iphone 4 - you still have to pay money for the phone when you sign up to a crappy £45 month tariff (which i'm on)

Or a cack handed reply as my SGS2 O2 PAYG is not neither was SGS1 .

Whats the cost of unlocking ??? £10-£20if it was locked .

    12 months 18 months 24 months ???

    18 months = £50 for network usage .
    24 months = £200 for network usage
Measured against PAYG £400 if you can get one .
