Samsung Galaxy S II

Hi,

Just wondered if anybody had got the Galaxy S2 on a good retention deal through O2?

I am not to concerned about committing to a 24 month deal, I am thinking a good deal would be:

O2 300 tariff over 24 months-
300 mins, unlimited text and 1GB data for £24 pcm and a free GS2

(that's £576 over life of contract and with O2 offering the pay and go at £399 they would make a profit on the contract too!)

Think I might ring O2 up and say I want my PAC code to get the HTC Sensation from Vodafone on pre-order and see if there retentions people try 'persuade' me to take the GS2 now instead?

Anybody tried this and succeeded? Let us know!

I rung them last week about upgrading to Galaxy S2 she just offered me what they offer new customers! Hope you have more luck!! Was advert on radio today thought for CPW saying upgrade your upgrade which means they will give you a better phone than you would normally get so may be worth trying there, thats what I am going to do!

Thanks surfbabe, finally someone speaking up!

You are in the same dilemma as me, GS2 or HTC Sensation, you decide yet now that Vodafone has released the pre-order prices?

Still not decided and I know full well that the one I get I will regret it and wish I had got the other! Galaxy has some really good reviews only thing that puts me off is that the back is meant to be made of plastic and feel quite flimsy and I have an awful habit of dropping my phones! Cant go for Vodaphone one as the signal round here is terrible, my husband had his last phone with them and you could never get hold of him (unless he was ignoring me!!!)

I suspect O2 retentions have been told not to compromise on the GS2 as O2 seem to be one of the few main networks to have the phone in stock directly! (T-mobile and Vodafone don't have it available through their websites)
