What is it with Tesco's coupon policy?

  • I got £65 worth of items (four shops - how sad am I!) for £8. My poor husband is going mad as I have it all laid out in the kitchen and as most of it was BOGOF's with the HB vouchers it looks huge. Am so proud as had a disasterous time earlier in the week.
Does anyone else, as delighted as they are to have the cashier accept their vouchers, wish they had "bought" more so they could have used more vouchers, I know it must sound so greedy but I have so many bad experiences which have almost left me in tears that you really want to make the most of the good ones.
:T Benjamin has won!!! Am soooo proud. Thank you to everyone who agreed my baby was the cutiest. Want to go round and hug everyone who voted, it means so much to me!:A

    Emma :)

-handed out in supermarkets (Tesco clothing vouchers a couple of weeks ago)

-leaflets or vouchers by products in supermarkets

    -supermarket's magazines (free or charged)

-newspapers, ( the Sun and Star had the £5 Tesco H&B vouchers today)

-on manufacturer's websites (had more problems using downloaded ones as SA don't seem to trust them)

-leaflets dropped through your letter box

    -vouchers on packaging

Just keep your eyes open and definitely keep reading these threads....

    Good luck
  • What a comprehensive list. How on the ball are you Stilerin!!
Emms - keep looking on these boards as you get so many tips on magazines and newspapers with vouchers in as well as what you can pick up in stores.
They are all out there. You just need to know the right place to look.

Should you not be buying the products in order to obtain the discount?
yes we should which is why we have no right to get annoyed when the cashiers do their job correctly and refuse coupons!!We should just be eternally grateful when we get away with it!!although it is the manufacturers who suffer not tesco, tesco can't fail can they because for all the money we SAVE in tesco we also SPEND a fortune.I went in yesterday and bought a bottle of brandy plus a few other items expecting to use a handful of vouchers only to find myself at a till with hitler who would only accept 3 coupons(poor choice and I will not choose her again!!LOL)BUT we do need to remember that each coupon accepted is a bonus NOT our right!

I called Tesco's HO last week and was told no stores should be accepting coupons if the goods have not been bought. Under no circumstances

It is surprising how knowledgable you can look after reading this site for less than three months!!

As I read in someone's post ..........remember that coupons and vouchers are money so keep them in your purse, you wouldn't go shopping and leave half of your money in the kitchen drewer would you?

This site has benefited me enormously, but I am still learning ;) every day.
