His point was people following orders without question, I find your fixation on it shameful as are the others who are trying to outdo your own daft comments.
I think the "point" could have been made in rather a more calm and compassionate way.
I, like others, would have asked the OP to leave and would not have welcomed him/her back.0 -
Went to my local dentist this morning had a check up then booked in early June to have two fillings. Then got charged £47 for the treatment Im not having for another 3 weeks. I cannot claim the money back through my health plan because they cannot give me a receipt until Ive had the treatment.
When questioned the receptionist stated that it was their policy!
It is absolute extortion!
You're a plank.
That is all.:oGetting married 23rd June 2012!!:o0 -
I hate people who massively overreact about simple everyday incidents like the OP has done. My Grandad did not die face down in the mud of flanders for people to act like this. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Thought I'd live a little and indulge my 'fixation' one more time...
You find my objections 'shameful' yet support the OP's likening of a dental receptionist to a mass murderer? Hmm, forgive me for not taking your opinion too seriously won't you.:hello:0 -
I'm a dental nurse/receptionist and work for a very busy NHS practice. We also charge up front for treatment for the same reason a previous poster stated, to deter people from failing to attend their appointments, reducing wasted time. There is no 'scam' involved in it. I feel ever so sorry for the practice that has the misfortune of having to treat you.:money:...My hero!0

I didn't pay in advance for my treatment recently. I paid on the day.
I did pay £300 for 2 replacement fillings and a wee new filling plus check up and Scale and polish.
there are choices. if you can prepay £47 and not lose your place with an NHS dentist, then it would seem to be more cost effective to me.0 -
And to think this person is walking amongst us.0
