But the OP mentioned SS guards "gassing Jews" in his first post - so I prefer to just view him as ignorant and take the chance to remind him of why his comparison was so abhorrent:

OP has a choice, move Dentist. Alas, if OP had stated the said to me, he would have to get a new dentist.

Actually, very few people have the luxury of this choice. For many, as has been suggested, they would be lucky to have a dentist.

Still, whilst agreeing that OP was OTT with crass references, an unreasonable thread title and lucky to be able to see a dentist at all, I can't help but feel you are all missing the point (admittedly OP has done more than his/her fair share to bury the point!).

There's no way that I would agree to pay £47 for anything without getting a receipt. I like the idea of a transactional receipt and pro-forma invoice. Not to say that the HI providers would like it, of course.

It is normal practice to pay at the time of making the appointment, surprised you haven't come across thais before. However you should always get a receipt but considering your attitude I'm not surprised they weren't more obliging.
Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

Now I think about it some more, it might be quite enjoyable for the dentist to continue treatment. After all, if they are being compared to Nazis ... ;)

(Needless to say, I don't believe for a minute that the dentist would be so cruel, but it's an interesting thought!)
    Gone ... or have I?

Agreed. Very quick off the mark. And you can always tell the point at which a thread has gone to ****, in this case, it started ****.

..and for all those who accused me of being rude and offensive. I say look at some of the comments on here and ask yourselves if you are any better. Cos you are all so bleeding perfect arent you.

Anyway - your wonderful advice aside. Im still writing to the dental association. Cos its still a rip off. It's not like buying a sofa or a mobile phone. Its just another way to extract money out of us when we cannot do anything about it.

Also on top of their letter it states that 'all payment will be due at time of treatment'. Which it clearly isnt because its due 3 weeks before I get any treatment.

So for simply asking for payment a mere 3 weeks in advance of treatment, they are moneygrabbing nazis and you are reporting them. You are making a mountain of a molehill and need to step back and get some perspective.

I wouldn't worry too much about how unrepentant the op is about their ridiculous comments. They'll get what they deserve when they're next in the dentist chair, lets hope the dentist doesn't forget the anaesthetic.
