No, that's because Ireland is smaller than GB.
Oh I see, so Irish girls CAN have abortions but they have to be paid for instead of getting them for free.0 -

By getting rid of the tumor YOU have chosen to reverse Gods choice. Haven't you? The same as the OP when you started spouting on about 'everything for a reason'. Remember that? It need not matter what the cells are, they are a foreign body that NEEDS a human person to nuture them to survive, and if that person does not want to nuture those cells it should be their right to remove those cells. Just like you would do with your cancer.
Only it might not be cancer but you would get them removed anyway. Isn't it wonderful how life gives us these choices.
Ah and yes, all of those women living in Ireland who come to the UK for abortions because it is not legal there because you live in a 'civilised' society. But that never happens does it??
once a child is aborted it does not 'regrow' like many cancers do. cancer causes devastation to people, children dont cause that0 -

Funny how liverpool marie stopes is the busiest of all?
Well as we have a higher population the numbers are bound to be higher?
Anyway I thought you were NI not Eire? One being a apart of UK which actually makes it perfectly legal in NI for the same circumstances as it is here..
I dont think your in NI at all.0 -

Actually you are wrong. Some unwanted children do exactly that. They ruin families, can cause such financial harship that the family home is lost, couples break up and children grow apart from one parent and maybe never even see them again.
You know, like your husbands child that you have been fighting to see.
You need to get your blinkers off and start living in the real world.0 -

Doesn't this sentence contradict what you've been rabbiting on about all morning?0 -
leos-mummy wrote: »would this civilised society be the same one i live in. i belive if abortion wasnt so readily available in england and other parts then perhaps the lives of the innocent would be protected and abortion would not be used as another birth control method
Yes, it would be.
I do recognise that people from here travel to Britain for abortions, however, the percentage of pregnancies terminated here will be far less than the percentage of terminated pregnancies in Britain, therefore a large number of childrens lives being saved by no legalised abortion here, and for that i am very grateful.
And while I agree with your views on abortion, i think you have made your point on this thread and leave it at that nowWeight loss challenge, lose 15lb in 6 weeks before Christmas.0 -

Abortion law in NI is (and has been for many years) different to mainland UK -
