    Happy Birthday Cheapskate.:bdaycake:

    Rant Alert.....

We're supposed to be going on holiday from 25th June to 2nd July. Booked aaaages ago, we thought all done and dusted. Today, the ferry company rang Mr LW; they've had a falling-out with the actual operator, and now want us to travel stuuuuupidly early on 25th, and to come back a day early.:mad::mad::mad::mad: Hotel is all paid for, for the full week, and we'll be losing a day's sightseeing, as well as wasting a night's money. Also, we have a stopover hotel booked the night before (24th June) and when we were due to return (2nd July), so now have nowhere to sleep on the night of 1st July. What a mess!:(

I'm so stressed about the whole thing, that I don't want to go at all, now.:mad::mad:

If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

:bdaycake:Happy Birthday cheapskate. I hope you are having a lovely day x

Welcome to all the newbies

MIA yesterday the pollen levels are playing havoc with my breathing ( I have asthma and copd ) so I had to go to see the GP who has put me back on oral steroids for a week then I have to go back to see how I am doing. Don't know why I bother tring to diet :(

DS seemed quite upbeat when he came home yesterday and he said that it was easier than the mocks, his next exam is on Thursday and he is currently doing some studying.

DH took me to Hemel Hempstead this morning and we tried to get into the works but only a bit of the shop was open because they were stock taking in a sale

Then to top it all I got a phonecall from Kays catalogue who informed me that if I don't buy anything in the next six weeks I will lose all of my £55 commission, so I will buy goods to that sum and then they can shove it where the sun don't shine :mad::mad: It has gone down hill since shop direct took it over.

Jackie G..... I hope that the car gets through without too much paying out fingers, toes, legs and eyes crossed for you hun x

NPM ((((((((((Hugs))))))))) trouble with trying to sell anything at the moment is that people are scared to part with money so it is a buyers market not a sellers, good luck with the Doctor tomorrow x

Hi Chums thank you all for your good wishes.Davy is here at last I picked him up from the airport last night and luckily his plane was 20 minutes early. So we arrived back at my house just before 10.00.p.m. he is thin and a bit tired but is full of beans and its so good to see him.We have not long had a lovely lunch and I have made him go and have a lie down for half an hour so he can rest.He said its possible he may need a by-pass op. but they are waiting to see how the stent is settling in. We raised a glass of vino to my late OH who was his best friend for years and sat up half the night jawing and catching up on things. He is off to Cork tomorrow to see his DDs and DGC as four of them are being confirmed this weekend. My DD phoned and said she will pop in on the way home to see me and my eldest Dd has phoned this morning .The O2 network is down at the moment and my eldest DD is bereft without her phone 'pinging away in the background.Right I am off to make a nice cuppa and a piece of fruit cake to wake davy up with .Cheers chums Take care all and Happy Birthday to all celebrating today

Has anyone heard if lowsey has had her baby yet ?

Nope she hasn't although we're all suggesting ways to get things moving via FB :rotfl:

Julie - my apologies I completely missed your post about your interview. Sending you positive vibes that it went really well xx

Had my review with school. For once I didn't come out feeling lousy and wanting to cry :o He has issues obviously but they are really pleased with him and he's making progress so am one happy lassie :D

Struggling for meal ideas for the kids. Both seem to be being fussy in different areas, DD won't eat potato now <rollseyes>, DS will he will reject lots of stuff on sight alone but am getting fed up of cooking a little Sunday dinner for them each night. They're not overly keen on fish unless it's in a finger ;), DS wouldn't eat anything like a chicken nugget, it's a struggle to get him to eat sausage, DD won't eat chicken now.......can't really give 'em pasta and chips every other night ;) Off to look for some inspiration......

    ETA:

JackieO - More grovelling......I'd missed your post about it being your H's birthday :o Sorry with small kids I tend to speed read and clearly not doing that well :o:o Anyway sending you a big hug and enjoy your brothers visit xx

Hugs to Jackie O. I guess it never gets any easier x

Well my brood have surprised me today. DS1 did help with the heavy cleaning and did very well. Just wish he would sort other aspects of his life out.

DD felt positive about her AS level re sits and DS2 also positive re RE so finger and toes crossed.

Hope you all have a good evening x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Quick update, Ds1 loved the high school :j :j I am soooo relieved! Made some new friends and has swapped XBox ID's already, so all's well :)

Car failed on the brakes :( but the good news is, £80 to fix it plus a caliper which my wee man won't supply, OH is sourcing it as we speak, expect it to be about £60, so not too horrific. Funny how the things I expected were fine, though :)

Off to parent's induction at the high school tonight, DS2 is with a friend, they are joining Tae Kwon Do tonight, so I expect it will be noisy in here later :rotfl:

Butterfly Brain, hugs for you. xxx
