Morning All!
Been really busy recently that's why I haven't been on here!
DD's wedding is driving me mad:mad:
Reception double boo:mad:ked and the original man ran off with my deposit:eek: Found another venue, booked and paid for it (Bearing in mind she is getting married on 20th August 2011!) then Grooms parents objected to it, as they are paying for the reception. They've now got another one, and I want my £400 back!!!!!
I think it's a case of "one-upmanship" on her sisters, as two cousins have recently got married in posh hotels, so she wants to prove they can do better:o I've opted out now, let them get on with it:mad:
I am holding a Cake Break for the MS Society on Friday. (Next week is MS Awareness week) Have made so far.....
A Weetabix cake, tea bread, welsh cakes, cornflake cakes and flapjacks. Just got to ice the Asda fairy cakes (cheaper than making them myself). Friends are bringing gingerbread and shortbread. Hope the weather stays good then we can sit in my new garden:T
Really pleased with how my garden turned out, even if it did cost a lot because now I can manage it and it and not feel depressed every time I look at it:rotfl:
Happy Birthday Cheapskate

Happy birthday Cheapskate, I missed it this morning, hope you have a lovely day.
Tired Mum, what exciting news, good luck with keeping it to yourself!
Welcome to jsnar5 and tootoo, I only started posting on this daily about a month ago and I have been made very welcome.
While I was pegging the washing out this morning I glanced up at the bird box on the side of our house and saw parent birds (I think that they are great tits) flying in and out with food and then I heard cheeping coming from the box. I am really pleased as they nested there last year and I was afraid that the cold winter had killed them off.:j0 -
Happy birthday Cheapskate- enjoy your day :j
Jsnar-hope work goes well for you today,& welcome to you and tootoo
TiredMum-thats something lovely to look forward to.
JackieO-have a lovely day with your brother.
Very wet and miserable here, got all the bottom of my jeans wet when I took the dog out,so feel a bit clammy round the ankles now:rotfl:
My new sewing machine is meant to be delivered in an hour or so :j,got an email with a 1 hour time slot this morning.I spent part of yesterday cleaning my present machine to get it ready for selling, then decided to have a good clear out in the sewing room /office,looks much better.
Silvermaid-thanks,I just hope I can figure the new machine out, think it might be a tad more complicated.I'm no good at links but if you google taggies you'll get the idea, basically a nice soft little blanket with lots of silky ribbon tags round the edges,as babies often seem to prefer them to the actual toy/blanket.
I walked down to see my niece and the baby ,who is now a month old-I can see a difference in a week.He seems really strong (and hungry
)DS2 picked me up,and had a cuddle/practise too
.
We had the mince last night that we were going to have today,so its either turkey or a dig in the freezer!
Well, best carry on-have a good day folks xx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -

NPM - hope you're feeling better x
not caught up much with the last few days posts here, too much to do.
Got a few days off now with Taplord so we'll be catching up with some jobs plus tomorrow we're hoping ot have a day out somewhere. Taplord needs a good rest so nothing too strenuous planned.
WM is on its second load. Ironing to do. Not sure about tea, maybe a veg curry.
Had coffee with Mum earlier, nice to see her.
Have a great day all x x xDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Thanks for the information on taggies RosyRed xOutside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read.

I've got blue tits in my nesting box. Boy are the babies noisy  Poor mum and dad are constantly on the go bringing back food etc and they still don't stop tweeting :rotfl:
Reminds me I must go out and top up the bird feeder, least that way mum and dad don't have to go far for food for themselves

Hello everybody:hello: Just skimmed through the thread so Happy Birthday to Cheapskate :bdaycake:and hugs to Jackie O :grouphug:and anyone else who needs them.
Very showery/damp/grey here and I am only up today as I need to work.....spent Sunday and Monday is bed and still feel very rough....not sure it is the meds now.....However, got cancellation invoice through the post yesterday so that didn't help my mood
......not sure where to go from here TBQH, just need a rest first.
Filming the TV programme has been put back a couple of weeks as the production company appear to be a bit confused....aren't we all?:rotfl:
Apart from that not much doing..... Meal planner a bit off kilter as I wasn't up for making dinner since Friday but it will be chilli tonight (making double so we have a meal in the freezer)....and apart from that all I can think about is bed.....
Hope you all have a good OS day.But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green
