    Morning everyone

Good luck to all those taking exams x

Overcast and dull here this morning, have put washing out as didn't yesterday and then rain cleared to be a nice day.

DH up and off to work, not stupid early, so I got a nice cuppa in bed before he left.

Dinner last night was delicious gammon, always goes down well in this house. DH has a meeting tonight, he will go straight from work, so will see him much later tonight, DS1 has Cadets tonight, so dinners will be quickies.

Still working my way through the shredding pile, it is getting smaller, I must keep telling myself this!! Need to get a better system in place, will be working on this over the next few weeks, am shredding papers from 2007/2008, why have I kept them as they are not needed?!

Work was much quieter for a Monday, so was able to catch up on emails etc, hoping today will be ok too, am training tomorrow morning at another office, then my working week will be finished at lunchtime.

    Need to crack on.

Not much else to say really, keep safe and well everyone, hugs to those that need them.

    Morning All,

Tired mum how exciting!!!:j Although I read turkish eye as turkey eye  :rotfl:

DS1 has his induction days at high school today and tomorrow, he is soooo excited :D I on the other hand, am a nervous wreck :rotfl: DH and I are off there tonight for a visit too, it all seems very well organised; he has a full day there with four classes each day, but the highlight is......HAVING LUNCH! He's his mother's boy, that's for sure :o

After I drop them off my car is going for its MOT so Coco and I will walk home from there, fingers crossed it won't be too dear for it to pass, althought the handbreak cable appears to have snapped yesterday :( and I am worried about the emissions, I bought a fuel cleaner yeaterday but I doubt it has been in long enough to make a difference. Fingers crossed if you don't mind folks.

Hester your dress looks like it will be gorgeous :)

    Be back later.

    Morning all,

Bit of a late start this morning, dd has study leave, and so I let her get up a bit later. She is just having breakfast and will then get on. I need to do my office work this morning as I did not get round to it yesterday, so its heads down here this morning.

Good luck to all those with exams today xx

Jackie O, Hugs to you, must be a hard day for you xx

    :bdaycake:Happy Birthday to Cheapskate :j

Dinner tonight is sausages mash and veg, veg was done yesterday, so will just need to do spuds.

WM is on with towels, and I will hoover through later.

    Have good days all xx

Tired mum :T how exciting xx

    Hi everyone,

I am new to this thread but you all seem so welcoming I just couldn't resist writing

I am going back to work for the first time in 4 months as have been on long term sick. I am feeling really nervous and now feel physically sick!! I don't start work until noon so have plenty time to stew!
DS unexpectedly had an exam yesterday that he expected to take today, so he is very pleased that he has got that out of the way. Best of luck to all those taking exams today.
In this house we tend make our own meals during the week due to me normally working until 8pm (not at the moment as on phased return) and DH never wants to wait that long for a meal. The kids DD (17) and DS (19) are usually busy doing their own thing and not ready to eat with anyone but themselves and don't like what is on offer. We do make sure that at the weekend we all sit together.

I look forward to keeping up with this thread
    Have a good day x

    Morning folks.

Another grey day today, but have yesterday's washing on the line, so hope it stays dry.
NPM I really hope you get a break soon. Glad you don't have to go in to work today. Have you done anything about getting a sick line yet?

TiredMum How exciting is that? Hope you can keep the secret! Think of all the happy wee moments you will have just knowing that while the others don't. A wee bubble of excitement inside every time you think about it.

Had a good 'shop' yday. Had a dtd voucher for tesco, so went with a complete shopping list only buying what was on offer or essentials that I had to buy. Shopping came to 21.99, but with my vouchers (had a wee one for 30p too) I paid just 1.18!!! I felt like an extreme couponer in a very tiny way, just the once:D
Have to go this morning and buy just a couple of things from the grocers and to post 3 parcels of ebay items. Quite pleased to have made 25pounds. (still can't find a pound sign on my keyboard!!)

Other than that, still have 2 white plastic garden chairs to scrub with brillo pads (only thing that really works), planting a few tomato plants in the garden, and up to the allotment. Usual nursery walk, and dinner tonight is HM fish and chips.

Have a hug if you need one (((((hug))))). And have a good day.
Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...
