    Oh dear, things were going so well! I was thinking of the time with oh and baby, and thought we might go on a trip somewhere in the next hols. I promptly spent AGES looking, but now oh and I have decided its too much to go away that holiday, as we are already going to inlaws. Result - about an hour wasted researching!! Nevermind.

    Secondly, I was late home as I had to return something I had bought the other day. I also discovered that I have mystery shopped the wrong place - two shops within a few hundred yards of each other, both were in my queue and I applied for the wrong one as I was rushing :( so thick!!!

    I then came home to a nice letter from my bank to say they couldn't help me with my ppi recalim as it was with a totally different company and I had sent it there in error. Again, rushing and because I am so thick!

    My friend has got slightly more time with the daughter she is trying to get full custody with, which I suppose is positive. I really have to let today go as one of those days where things just go wrong, and focus on what I do have that is good. No harm done really.

    I have my health and my family, and I should focus on that and stop rushing around so much!

    Right back on track
    * ppi reclaim sent to correct company!!
    * ms rescheduled for a day that suits me better. I can take lo to the play area when I am there as well on Saturday, and still get the little present I wanted for my brothers baby.
    * another ms booked for Sunday for a meal for 2, and the local leisure centre is having a free open day, so I have booked lo in for a free soft play session before.

    And really making so many mistakes has been a bit of a wake up call - I need to think more!!

    Don't be so hard on yourself, with the amount that you achieve you wouldn't be human if you didn't make the occasional slip up. Good luck for the PPI reclaim. I love yours and Museum workers categorised aims, may copy it myself if I can organise my thoughts through the fog of sleep deprived brain!

    Thanks for the encouraging words! I have had another awful day, full of awful classes floowed by a meeting that I didn't want to have with my boss as I missed another meeting due to a parents eve, and then RUSHING home for 2 back to back tutorings that I hadn't had time to plan. Phew. Still £50 in the savings pot, and one less morning at work in the future because of my tutoring.

    No harm done, really, I might hate my job sometimes, but its only sometimes. I have to make the best of it - I don't hate it all the time, and I am sure some people really hate their job all the time. I have a wonderful family and we are healthy and happy, and comfortable financially. Work is only a little tiny thorn in my side!

    Tomorrow I need to make a HM mince pie for later on (all we have in really!) possibly collect a sleepsuit off freegle giver, do a ms, see if I can get the free sherlock books as a present for my FIL, and pay money and cheques in the bank. I also want to go for free cocktails later on - might have to sit outside with lo in tow, but it will still be nice.

    In terms of my January aims,

    ensure family is happy and healthy.
    Take exercise 3 x per week. Clear desk on Friday and plan for the week ahead. 1 X exercise done, desk cleared every night.

    * spend quality time with DS and OH
    Swimming x 1, Day out x 1 1 x swimming done, and day out planned on Sunday.

    * get the house organised
    Put everything away rather than near for 21 days (another mw tip!) Looking quite good. House needs cleaning tomorrow.

    * save £10K by May 2012
    Grocery focus -Meal plan for the month. Top up shops where possible and cooking from scratch. Savings focus - Electricity - try to reduce the amount we are using, waste is creeping in... Savings going well, and I am really focusing on reducing leccy.

    * Always get the best deal
    Shop around for the best deals/ get cashback for car insurance. Got best deal on car insurance and £10 cb.

    *No Presents or Cards spends
    Source in laws birthday presents from current vouchers. Do list of presents I have and what I need. Not done yet.

    oh, and more good news - tax rebate of £26 came in for uniform allowance. yey!!

    Sounds like a rubbish day, but yay! to the weekend. Sounds like you're doing fantastically with your goals (they are much more ambitious than mine!). If you start feeling overwhelmed, my tip would be to not do anything which isn't on that list, so you may want to consider whether tutoring is more of a priority than something already on there.

    Hope you have a lovely weekend and enjoy the cocktail/ms!

    Well done on your progress with your goals - I don't think i've done nearly so well with mine this week. I hope your days are getting better after the problems you had in the middle of the week.

    Thanks guys. Things are not so bad really - I am trying to be positive about work -everyone has noticed a decline. Unions are involved as we are being observed too much, which I suppose is a good thing.

    Had a lovely weekend - ds really enjoyed the soft play and I struggled to peel him away! OH and I fell out aboutt he cleaning :( I tried to explain that it isn't my priority, but I did a little. I also cooked from scratch all weekend.

    This week I need to:

    *ensure family is happy and healthy.
    -Take exercise 3 x per week. Clear desk on Friday and plan for the week ahead.

    * get the house organised
    Put everything away and clean like a madwoman!

    * save £10K by May 2012
    -Meal plan for the month.
    -continue to reduce electricity bill
    - pay childminder bill
    -12 private lessons booked this week (only 11 hours though, some are siblings that get 30 mins.)

    * Always get the best deal
    -reduce sky subscription again if possible

    *No Presents or Cards spends
    Source in laws birthday presents from current vouchers. Do list of presents I have and what I need.

    I have just counted and I have 11 hours of tuition booked in this week - 12 different clients. I have decided that this is my maximum capacity, and will start a waiting list now. It is quite stressful trying to juggle everything. I need to do some planning for this as well.
