Hot and sunny here. I am thoroughly confused but it seems it takes the met office to issue a weather warning for where I live for the sun to actually come out.0

21 degrees here at the moment in Loanhead East of Scotland with hardly a cloud in the sky all the bedding washed and dried and back on the beds chocolate bought, bottle of wine opened and now going to sit and watch Strictly Come Dancing, happy day.Its not that we have more patience as we grow older, its just that we're too tired to care about all the pointless drama0 -
It's absolutely pelting down here. If it carries on much more, the chickens are going to have to learn to swim, their field is full of puddles. Just had a flash of lightning and rumble of thunder too.0

Three loads dry and the fourth is in the machine! Make hay (or dry washing) while the wind blows!:D
Totally agree with the "make hay while sun shines".
The thing that I find difficult is here in Britain we have all arranged a "regular calendar of outdoor events" at a time of year that we KNOW the weather will be okay to good on and, over the last coupla years, this hasnt been the case. So - one goes off to attend an event where the weather will be nice/sunny/warm/etc - and....errrr...nope...it ISNT (as in one hasnt been able to think in terms of the weather being reasonably "reliable" for the last coupla years).
So - communal events are also being affected by the climate change "stuff" meaning that we simply dont know whether we will get the "correct seasonal weather" or no...:(. So - how do we organise these community events in view of the recent years "unreliability"?0 -
Weather here is weirdly warm muggy and still - much stiller than last few days and a definite air of something brewing. Could do with some washing drying wind too...
Fingers crossed for everyone in its line of fire xxPeople seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

I find our weather getting very windy and wet these last few years. You get storms when you didnt used to and remember the lightning in the snow last winter ? I found that creepy. We had lightning here last night too. All we need now is the huge alien spacecraft...
Stay safe Mar..and get in a large supply of sweeties....the winds will blow all the kale away...:D..take care!Felines are my favourite

very strange here tonight too. For the past few weeks - even last night - there have been lots of swallows flying around when I have been sitting in the conservatory as I usually comment on high up they are flying, but tonight there is not one to be seen. There are five nests around us and in years gone by there are usually some stragglers upto the end of September/early October, taking that to mean they know something we dont and have headed off back to Africa pronto!Every days a School day!0

I said to hubby this evening that it looks like the swallows have gone. We usually see them gathering a couple of days before they leave, but I've not seen them do that this year and I've only seen one swallow today.0

Not a million miles from you, SuzyBloo and I too have seen swallows flying round quite low and in places I have never seen them before. They seem to be rather frantic actually. Either someone has a big firework display in the village or there is mucho thunder rolling about, and a very warm strange wind.
