Is that £12 for just one arm?

So I'll need to find out which one is broken first ? :rotfl:

It was the link running across the back of the engine. They're a plastic cup, and they wear out.

Aren't there 3 links or something though?

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Name Dropper
Done plastic cups on a corsa recently. After scratching and scraping my arms to bits, there was easy access with the battery tray removed.
    Hindsights a wonderful thing.

Only the one was worn, the rest seemed ok.
It was a pain to get off, as the metal cups came out of the link, and stayed on the balls. Hacksaw blade was all that would fit in to split them, took ages.

I can't remember, I think it was all of them as the linkage was just rattleing about.

Ah right - mine struggles to go into 2nd (sometimes get 4th, sometimes just won't go) and the stick moves from side to side when in gear

Aparrently you can change the long rod at the back of the engine from above by removing the airbox to make room?

That's the one, but not easy when it falls apart coming off.

I'll check it out - if it's obviously worn I'll pay a visit to my local Pug dealer.

I assume it'll be the same linkage even though it's a 1.0 4spd which I think they discontinued after a couple of years?
