Racist: (noun) A belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others.

Wow you identified that I was that from just a few words?

Assumption: (noun) Something taken for granted or accepted as true without proof.

    Here is another...

Defamation: (noun) a false accusation of an offense or a malicious misrepresentation of someone's words or actions

When I joined the website a few days ago (after a lifetime of lurking) I felt that the newbie sticker was less like a helpful aid and more like a target for others to aim at. There is a distinct difference between an 'L' plate on a car and an 'L' plate on this forum. An 'L' plate says 'I don't know how to drive, keep your distance and be patient' but an 'L' plate on here implies that I haven't a bleedin' clue about how to use a forum or defend my consumer rights...that can be a little patronising.

It has a dual effect: Those people inclined to be nice will be even nicer and those the people inclined to be unpleasant will be even more unpleasant.

    In theory, a good idea.

It's possibly going to be more positive discrimination (and, as a country, we had a lot of that under New Labour).

However, MSE needs to show that they are protecting both new and old members, otherwise, to me, it's discrimination (isn't that illegal?)
