Have you tried asking them why?"If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....

Age 69 with 33 year no claims driving a Focus 1.6 which is parked on the drive overnight.
Insured with the bulldog for a little over £200.
Am I going to get a terrible shock next October?0 -
Ir sounds to me like either the proof of no claims bonus is being ignored or has disappeared, or there is some odd glitch which has somehow recorded a spurious claim against the policy.
I moved to Axa last year, which has most of the admin online. Tinkering about with the new quote section, idly thinking things like is the protected no claims option worthwhile, or how much does the premium go up if losing 2 years no claims, different annual miles, or what if I changed car, or got a second car for an overlap period that couldn't import NCB history, something I did notice was that some cars just won't be insured if starting with no NCB but other cars fine.
And something else I've found is that some insurers simply don't want to insure my high performance car (their words) at all, even with NCB. It seems the Mk2 version of the Citroen Xantia leapt about 6 insurance groups from the first version and is counted equivalent to 5 series BMWs and E class Mercedes rather than say Mondeo and Vectra. Still sent me a postcard advert this year though. Maybe your car has some new category issue like this
So I think you need to talk to Saga abour this, as whatever has happened with them has blighted the record that is being used for other quotes. Maybe it is something basic like the fact you cancelled the policy for a short while means there is now no NCD history. I believe that history can be used for transfer purposes for a year or two, but without the policy now you don't have proof at the moment. See if that is the issue and how to re-establish it.0 -
Yeah, the policy ended last year and the renewal forms came through but I just sent off the log book with the cancellation form and they never renewed.
Regarding local brokers... How do I find them? I mean, I've heard of them over the years but no luck in finding any...
