Yes, but who is going to employ someone who is 7 months pregnant and will go on maternity leave in the next few weeks?
I think the idea of moving in with your BF and his gran might be something to think about. Although depending what benefits they are both on and whether she owns her house you will have to look at how it effects things for them.
Sounds like you are stuck between a rock and a hardplace at the moment. Oh just a thought, is there still a surestart maternity grant scheme? if so are you eligable and have you applied for it? it used to be £500 per baby and used to get paid pretty quickly. Well it did 2 years ago when i was in the position that i had to apply for it.
Good luck and chin up hun x0 -

Why are these childrens' parents spending their childrens' welfare payments (Child Tax Credits and Child Benefit) on themselves!
It's time for the schools to take over the children's welfare payments to ensure this money goes where it is meant to go; on the child.
So you have assumed the parents were spending 'welfare' on themselves? It didn't occur to you that they may have been a working family who were struggling to make ends meet because they were waiting on wages and tax credits or something, and had maybe paid the mortgage thinking they would be getting other money which didn't materialise?
I worry about the narrow-minded attitude of some posters on this site, it's not healthy at all.
To the OP- I hope you can manage to get something sorted soon for you and baby.'Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans'-John Lennon

OP I obviously don't know what sort of care your boyfriends Gran needs but would it be possible for you to take over the care of her & boyfriend to get work? Or work it between you if she needs someone with her all the time that you can split the care of both her & Baby when he arrives & each work as well?0

Well, things have finally been sorted, for the minute! I recieved a letter yesterday saying my mum WAS actually entitled to benefits for me until 6th June in the first place. I have another problem/question though; during the past couple weeks I have been hospitalised due to stress and therefore recieved a medical note off my doctor and when I rang up the job centre they said I would have to stop claiming JSA and claim sickness benefits of Employment and Support Allowance which I did and I recieved the forms yesterday to sign and send back but I dont think I'll get this either as my mum is still getting benefits for me, so my question is how would I cancel my ESA claim? On the forms it says I have until the 23rd June to send them back so obviously after that my claim will be disregarded but I need to claim Income Support from the 6th June so I cant wait until the 23rd for them to disregard my claim?0
