An open note to all mortgage brokers

Months ago, when I used to frequent this board a bit more, I noticed that one particular poster seemed to be conducting a personal campaign against brokers. The brokers have always been open about their jobs IMO and also seemed to give impartial advice. I commented at the time that it was sad that one person could cause enough annoyance for people to leave the board. I think I was right.Happy chappy0

Hey look Ken.
You keep posting the nonsense that you have above then I am afraid it is game set and match to all of the reasoned posters on this thread.
You keep posting away Ken. You'll make your own noose !0 -
whiteflag wrote:Ken Shaz (is that short for Sharon?) I think at times we are on a similar wave length, but I think the way you have conducted yourself recently is really poor. Yes you have principles but there are clearly good guys (and girls?) posting on this site that you need to cut a bit of slack.
Its inevitable that your going to get the occasional "hijacker" but long stayers intentions must be genuine. To be happy you need to make someone happy.0 -
Keep going Ken.
You're making yourself look more stupid by the minute.0 -
Thank-you for your support. To be happy you need to make someone happy.0

With that in mind then a single signature should exist. I would add that a compliance check did warn me to add " Anything posted on this forum is for discussion purposes only. It should not be considered financial advice. " That was for my protection (just as you have yours) rest of it in my sig is not a mandatory from a compliance view. The mortgage advisers may not have that requirement as investment class advisers work under tighter rules (at this time).
Dh , I think you already know where i stand on this anyway here goes-
No signatures, no links to websites- its a chat forum. When I go to the pub i dont walk in with a badge saying im an IFA and hand out disclaimers so why should I on here. If people choose to ignore my comments then its no loss to me.
This FSA thing is a red herring. If you dont know who i am how the heck will the FSA know, anyway coupled to the fact im not giving advice just my opinion who cares.
The way I see it, and you of will have noticed, i only tend to post to balance up posts that are FACTUALLY INCORRECT and could end up costing people alot of time and money(johnG being a classic example) . As Ive said before amateurs dont need a signature so why should I.
The moment anyone steps into my office of course its a different matter0 -

I posted the olive branch but you continue on your crusade.
Yes, we all come to this board without any rights, status or priveledge. But believe me, I wouldn't come on the board saying I was a broker when I was not, so I think that actually gives me a platform from which I know my subject (mortgages) to try and help people that don't know so much about the subject (mortgages).
What qualifications do you have Ken ?
A degree in playdoh sculpture ?
Look, people come on these boards looking for help, I, and the other brokers are willing to give it from a qualified, educated, professional background.
Your last post is typical of all the posts that have resulted in this thread.
There's me trying to help and you're just P*ssing all over it.To be happy you need to make someone happy.0
