Decided to find an avatar - not as easy as it seems! It was a toss up in the end between the happy dog and the scream from the shower scene in Psycho (which seemed to sum up how I feel sometimes about our debt! :rotfl:).
Went with this one as it is more cheery and reminds me of our youngest dog who's nickname inspired my user name (she looks nothing like this - but
she bounces and grins like this!).

Clearly have too much time on my hands - time for bed methinks...

DF thing for today: found a site where I can get my contact lenses for £52 for 6 months worth including postage - and I get money back via Quidco :T
So that works out at £8.66 a pair - a saving of nearly £3.50 on my current place. :D

So on every two pairs of contacts, you'll have saved a tenth of the mortgage increase - or to put it another way, for every twenty pairs you can write off one month's mortgage increase
(I think... Maths was never my strong point!)
Add that to your two money savings yesterday and your OH's one as well - you're doing a great job!
    I like the avatar BTW!

Not a very MSE day yesterday. Car kaput and had to be towed to garage - so is getting new plugs as well as MOT stuff today :( Then had meal in the evening so spent total of £14.35.

But today things are looking up even though I will have to pay for the car  - had the revised electricity bill - and we're getting a refund of £188!! :j:j:j

Which technically takes me over my "extras" target for overpayment - though it may just go towards avoiding more debt because of the car.

Wow, the best part of £1000 altogether!
I hope the car's fixed now.
