Thank you so much - will tackle that over the weekend!

Good luck with everything! I am tempted to start my own diary because at the moment I seem to be hi-jacking everyone elses!! Have made a good start by agreeing claim with Halifax for bank charges so that is encouraging me to stay with the momentum and think of other ways to reduce the debt. I look forward to keeping up to date with your DFW journey!

Hijack away. It can get a bit lonely on here at times - think there are so many diaries people are spoiled for choice ;) (I know I find it hard to follow more than a couple). But it helps to keep me going to put updates here - even if noone reads them! - so will keep at it.

You're doing really well with your debt - well done. I want to get rid of about £10K of mine too next year - must follow how you are getting on. Let me know if you start your diary!

    Cheers.

Yes, keep putting the updates on. I am sure it helps to stay focused. Sometimes we don't realise how things are going until they are written down. Then we either realise ourselves how we can make changes, things don't seem so scary, or alternatively they are so scary that they make us make changes that we would otherwise shy away from.

    I will keep reading.....

    Keep your chin up M...
You are doing so well...I think we all want everything yesterday...but we will all get there in the end..it does help writing thimgs down to keep everything in focus though...I write mine even if nobody reads or replies as it does help..I have to write a new sig now as apparently it was too long...lol
You will get a lot of help from these boards...I know it's more difficult being SE but I am surprised how many SE are on here to help and what great advice they've given...gosh just think of what we will be writing this time next year

There are a couple of late charges on an old Barclaycard but I think it is probably not worth doing for £40.
Mmm - £40... that's a couple of weeks of mortgage increase paid for you if you followed it up. Might be worth a try if you have time.

Well I'm glad the car wasn't as bad as it could have been - and you have already found a possible way of funding it. ISWYM about the dogs, it would have to be the right people/other dogs if you were to have others look after them. Would they be okay separately perhaps? Two in kennels has to be cheaper than four.
You sound pretty busy. Don't wear yourself out, though the workshops sound like a good possibility.
I'm working my way round the boards too - but they grow faster than I can catch up!
Your final sentence caught my eye too - you aren't into https://www.flylady.net by any chance?! She would say almost the same thing (which in my case applies to clutter.)

That's the way I'm thinking too. The two younger ones are quite easy so that might work. And the old one is easy to take with us in one way as once she is put in one place she doesn't move around much! ;) Am contemplating taking her with us at Christmas....

You're very asute! :) Have to say this has been a really tough week - have felt very stressed. But I've booked some extra time off over Christmas to hopefully recover - think I am very tired.

:D Yes - can really take up time can't it?! Again - just have to keep telling myself a little at a time!

:D So that's where I heard it! I am a lapsed fly-baby - house is back in chaos I'm afraid :o - hoping to get a grip on some of it over the holidays as it does make such a huge difference. Just not enough hours in the day [sigh].

When you put it like that it is certainly worth a letter. I wasn't sure if there was a cost involved in registering (the TV programme the other night mentioned a charge to register at the court) - wouldn't be worth it if had to pay that - unless could guarantee getting it back. Will check out the claim boards. Thanks! :)

I would guess that the bank wouldn't see it worth their while in arguing for £40 so I can't see that one getting to court. Their costs would be horrendous for such a small amount.

Go ahead and reclaim - it will only cost you a stamp or two.
